Jimmy and Rosalynn are devout, Bible-believing Christians. They have spent their lives doing good for others. They have been among the most dignified couples ever to live in the White House. I admire them greatly.
People forget Jimmah’s administration was full of scandals, including his brother taking payoffs from enemy Libya and then getting caught, at which Jimmah feigned total ignorance. The Carters’ behavior was just like the Clintons and Bidens.
After his presidency, carter spent almost all his time on philanthropy, primarily Habitat For Humanity. I applauded all that, despite him being the 2nd worst POTUS ever (edged out by obozo).
THEN he decided wade back into politics and was the first POTUS to ever criticize the USA from beyond water’s edge (which he continues to do). That traitorous act was enough to wipe out all his good deeds and did remind me of what a terrible president he was.
If he were to die tomorrow I would want to be there to piss on his grave.
