The Carters spent just four years in the White House during troubled times and almost four decades out of it redefining what a former president and first lady can accomplish.
Jimmy Carter was president from 1977 to 1981 and he won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his humanitarian work. They have broken every record: Jimmy Carter, 95, is the oldest living American president and he and Rosalynn have the longest presidential marriage in history. They celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on July 7, 2019. They have been married longer than Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have been alive. (George W. Bush was born the day before they got married.)
Up until 2014 Rosalynn Carter went to Africa with her husband a couple of times each year. Rosalynn Carter got emotional when she talked with me about visiting a village where guinea worm, a debilitating disease that in 1986 afflicted an estimated 3.5 million people a year in Asia and Africa, had been eradicated. There were only 28 cases in 2018 because of the work of the Carter Center.

I had a really good job as a carpenter when he was president.
That all ended when the housing market totally collapsed under huge interest rates.
I lost my job as did most everyone in the construction business. I was young and made it but it took a huge toll on the older guys that had nowhere to go and nothing to do.
I also remember being in Seattle and being able to buy only three dollars worth of gas at a time.

Carter was bad however Johnson was the ABSOLUTE WORST, in my opinion ranking order of worst are Johnson, Wilson, Carter, Obama!!!!! Carter was in the same category as Obama in way over his head Jonson KNEW exactly what he was doing what he did to the black communities was pure EVIL!!!

I’ve hated Jimmah Carter mainly because he gave away the Panama Canal. The idiot.
I despise him because he invented the methodology that would eventually be employed by the Clinton’s to abuse the US nonprofit corporation laws in the US and in doing so fleece countless of people while selling their political influence.
I won’t miss Carter and hope to be able to not want to miss him soon.
Is B0 likely to make it to 90? Maybe not. There has been talk of heavy MJ use since he took his “extra tokes” while smoking weed with the “Choom Gang” in high school, as well as heavy tobacco smoking [at least] since then. Then there are the multiple reports of B0 snorting cocaine, not to mention deviant sexual habits (such as his frequenting “Man’s Country”, one of Chicago’s “grand old bathhouses” in Chicago’s “Boystown,”). All these poor habits argue that his living to a ripe old age is a bit unlikely. Tobacco and MJ smoke damages the lungs, cocaine use damages the heart, and sexual deviancy can lead to a host of medical problems. His lifestyle is that of someone who plans to “live fast and leave a good looking corpse” (to borrow a phrase used in NYC during the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s). He may have to be lucky to make it past 65-70....

Carter was probably as good a MAN as we ever had as prez however, he should have NEVER been allowed within a couple of states of DC, he was so bad as prez. Luckily for him though, obama did come along and take the title of worst prez ever away from him.
The obama years were as broke as a fat kids big wheel!
This couple has been acting in secret for decades, hiding their vile hatred for the American people.
He is an elitist who thinks he knows way more than anyone else, including God. Any former President with the least little bit of honor would not run around bad-mouthing a sitting President. Carter is nothing but a hypocrite; judgmental to any who do not believe he and the Democrats are the saviors and lords of our Nation. Most South Georgians rightly detest him, because he thinks he is so much better than anyone else.
I am pretty sure that Carter had at least 4 children, Amy and 3 older boys. One of his grandsons ran for some office in Georgia a few years back.
