Between the education and media monopolies it's easy to understand why less informed Dems feel Trump is not legitimate - the impression they're getting is that everyone with a voice agrees with the progressive worldview and the only people who don't are people they don't know. Laziness kicks in if your side has all the moral platitudes neatly corralled into its own rhetoric, because what's the point of trying to understand the point of view of people you've already concluded are, well, deplorable?

It's easier to make people feel than it is to make them think (there's an old Jethro Tull lyric in there). Easier still if you command their only common means of communication, easier to control the narrative than to control the truth. In Joe Biden's sole lucid moment of the last ten years he let that little nugget slip out, and laugh as you like, it works.

Whether the leftist democrats really understand the implications and consequences of their actions isn’t really a factor. With or without that realization they would proceed anyway. Leftists are so obsessed with power and control they would burn down everything as long as they could rule over the ashes. They have demonstrated time and again they don’t care what damage they leave in their wake - their ends justify any means. Leftists are one of the most repugnant, dangerous group out there.
