President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani is under investigation by federal prosecutors over possible campaign finance violations and accusations he failed to register as a foreign agent . Multiple U.S. officials told the outlet that the probe into Giuliani’s financial dealings could also lead to charges of violating bribery or conspiracy laws, with one adding that his work alongside the president has raised counterintelligence concerns.
The former New York City mayor is at the heart of House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into Trump, as investigators look into Giuliani's role in efforts to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate one of the president's chief political rivals, former Vice President Joe Biden.
Giuliani, if indicted, would likely affect Trump's defense strategy amid the ongoing probe.

No way he was raising campaign money or representing a foreign country here in the USA.
Trump simply used Rudy to get the job done in the Ukraine, using Rudy to do an end run around the Deep State bureaucrats who wanted to keep the Obama policies in place.The President can send who he wants to implement his policies abroad, as a matter of right.

I would imagine President Trump is paying Rudy. That is his personal right as the nations Chief executive. Rudy is doing the President’s official business. The Deep State does not like it at all, because President Trump is succeeding where they sought to delay and obstruct him.
How's that happen? Didn't President Trump authorize Giuliani to speak to Zelensky, also AG Barr to speak to Zelensky? And didn't the State Department knew of Guiliani's contacting Zelensky? I believe Mike Pompeo approved of the State Department's roll in facilitating the contacts. What crap.
