So now Peggy Noonan is offering tips to the Democrats?

There's a fine line between analyzing news and nakedly offering advice to one side and now Peggy Noonan has crossed it.

Far from being one of her interesting and sometimes very very good touchy-feely analyses -- I've been willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on much despite her record of hating President Trump -- her latest on the impeachment sham is all about helping the Democrats get it done. She's not even pretending to be the objective observer of American politics and its voters. In this piece, she's cheerleading and offering advice -- for Team Schiff.

To impeachment itself. It received a powerful push forward when the House voted Thursday for a new, public phase in the inquiry. This means among other things that the Democrats think they have the goods. They wouldn’t go live unless they did.

Really? The same Democrats who tried to impeach the great Ronald Reagan over the Iran-Contra Ollie-North thing, with Sen. Ted Kennedy on the Senate side a sitting KGB agent? The same people who rammed Obamacare through on a one-party vote and lots of arm-twisting? The same people who plotted together to overturn the results of the 2016 election, which is what this impeachment imbroglio on cooperation from Ukraine is derived from? Ummmmm...these are people who are capable of anything, and facts be damned.

Facts in fact are so damned, in fact, that these people are keeping their hearings secret, selectively leaking only the politically advantageous parts without context, silencing Republicans from calling witnesses, preventing Republicans from issuing subpoenas, or cripes, even allowing Republicans from attending, and for the ones who are attending, not allowing them to ask questions.

A more fundamental question that nobody seems interested in asking: why are we giving money to Ukraine (or any other country) when we literally don’t have the money, we have historic deficits?

With DC already spending well beyond its means, every dollar in foreign aid has to be borrowed from China or printed out of thin air by the fed ( increasing inflationary pressures here at home - and if you don’t think there’s inflation, check the cereal aisle or the price of Halloween candy or go shopping for a car)

The R’s fell for the trap. They have been screaming about the process. The secret hearings were to vet their witnesses and get the Republicans to reveal questions so the Rats could say Ok, Ok will do public sessions. So millions will watch the coached and now rehearsed “witnesses”. They now know the questions they will be asked. Instead of crying about the process they should have been screaming about the fact the Rat’s star witnesses are a nothing but Soros connected Rat hacks. Our side as always brings marshmallows to a gun fight.

One thing has never changed even while Peggy went seemingly from the light to the dark: She has NO governing philosophy other than ‘I am Peggy, humble and virtuous. Look at me! Others do wrong, and O point it out, only I see it clearly.’ She was never conservative nor is she now liberal. She’d be writing same things in any place or time. The underlying and only theme is always ‘I am extraordinarily humble and virtuous.’ Yet she would be totally completely ineffective if she ever had to make an actual choice. If she were leader, her people would be slaughtered while humbly and I’m a soft spoken all knowing voice judged the slaughterers.

Ukraine was being orchestrated to be the tip of the spear through the heart of the former USSR. Adding them to NATO in a former Russian client state. Supporting yet another Western schemed “Ukrainian civil war” by depicting Russian speaking Ukrainian separatists as “ infiltrators” and invaders. Making Russia's repossession of its territory in Crimea look like a brutal invasion and threat to America. Making western arms dealers ( like Schiffs patron Igor Pasternak) rich and speculating energy companies richer beyond imagination under the guise of confronting Russia. Using all this strategic anti-Russia and “ pro democracy” hoopla to create faux NGOs and scam the IMF into subsidizing the kleptocracy that passes for a Ukrainian govt. With a generous pass-through of looted billions back to the politicians and bureaucrats who kept it going.
