Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., on Tuesday refused to support a congressional resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide, saying it was important first to condemn the preceding "mass slaughter" of "hundreds of millions of indigenous people," as well as the "transatlantic slave trade."

Omar, in a statement explaining her vote of "present" on the resolution, seemingly suggested that the century-old mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks may not have occurred at all.

Of course Rep. Omar would not support such a resolution. The Armenian genocide was perpetrated by Ottoman Muslims, against mainly Christian Armenians. Over one million Armenians died. In Rep. Omar’s mind, such an event should be celebrated, not ciondemned.

In our history, we have had some loathsome people in people office. We have some now. She has to be one of the worst ever. Does she ever reflect on her life? If she had stayed in Somalia, assuming she would still be alive, she would have the most miserable of existences. Instead, she is here, and has had every opportunity handed to her, and now she sits in the halls of the people's Congress. I get no sense of gratitude from her. Instead, we get Miss Sh*thole's daily lectures on how horrible this country is. I work with immigrants every day. I never hear anything like this from any of them. They are glad to be here.

I'm hoping there are some nude photos out there of Omar (I know -- eeew! -- keep your barf bags handy), so maybe we can get rid of her as we did Katie Roundheels. I'm not counting on the voters of her district to do the right thing.

Imagine going to school with this girl - no doubt she was an expert even then in instilling ‘white guilt’ to intimidate others and get her way.

Condemning the ‘transatlantic slave trade’ is a good first step, tho. Millions of fair-skinned Europeans, sometimes entire villages, were kidnapped and sold into slavery in muslim lands, where slavery still very much exists only renamed ‘human trafficking’. The Spanish relied heavily on slavery to conquer South America. Slavery within “indigenous” populations worldwide has existed since the beginning of time. And speaking of killing indigenous, how many Africans were killed by invading muslims over the centuries, continuing even to this day? How many indigenous killed by Spaniards, or Mayans, or Aztecs, or Cherokee, or Apache or Chinese or Portuguese or south pacificers? America ended slavery in their country and has tried to eradicate it in the world. Can she say that about muslim and ‘indigenous’ countries? What a hot air balloon and completely ungrateful wench.

I am quite disgusted with BBC’s coverage of this... The fact that they put scare quotes around the word ‘genocide’ in their headline stuck out like a sore thumb.

It used to be that the respectable parts of the Mainstream Media would refrain from such naked displays of bias, but alas, those days are no more, just like the days of respectable media are alas, no more.

My mom would tell me to eat my peas because of the starving Armenians. This was in the 60’s. Once the internet came along I realized that she was probably told the same thing, growing up in Minneapolis in the 1920’s. Minneapolis was one of the main places the Armenians went to around that time period.

It is probably too much to hope for that their great grandchildren might at least raise their voices against Omar.
