We know that Epstein had a relationship with Bill Gates that was compelling enough to get the Microsoft kingpin to donate millions on his behalf.

How can you be so certain? I was under the impression that Epstein had already been convicted of an earlier offense at the time was interacting with Gates.
Gates and these folks all knew Epstein was a bad player or else there would not be memos telling folks not to mention Epstein was involved!

What is missing from that denial above? Sometimes it is the omission that is significant.
Everyone including Bill Gates understands that the real question is: "Did you fly the Lolita Express to Pedo Island?"
So, Gates might say "...I didn’t go to New Mexico or Florida or Palm Beach or Cincinatti or Prague or Mexico City or Dallas or Acapulco or the Azores or Montreal or any of that..." and someone interested in finding the truth might ask "True, but did you ever go to Pedo Island"?
To be fair, we don't know, but that quote “His lifestyle is very different and kind of intriguing although it would not work for me” sure does sound like it isn't talking about Epstein's interior decorating abilities or having visitors at all hours.
I would not think that Gates needed to fly on Epstein’s plane or helicopter.
I am sure Gates can afford his own FLEET of private jets and helicopters.
I think Epstein tried to get dirt on anyone he could, so he could blackmail them. Can you imagine how much insider information a person like Bill Gates is privy to? Gates knows who the next company Microsoft is going to try to acquire. That type of information is worth millions.
Epstein ran a honey trap. You just never know who you might catch unless you bait the trap. Sometimes, its a Senator, sometimes a diplomat, sometimes a CEO, sometimes a President.
