He was a leftist but he did not propagandize in the classroom.
One of the subjects we covered in intensive detail was the population control movement; he went into great detail into its racist origins and he did not hesitate to name names and some the comments he made in passing made me wonder if he was that rarest of creatures: a pro-life leftist.
