Unbelievable what passes as "education" in this country, today! Not to mention the trampling of our Constitutional Rights by robed tyrants sworn to uphold it.

~ ~ ~

The center explained Wood "believes it is a sin to profess the existence of any other god but the Christian God. She stood firm in her Christian beliefs and was punished for it. School officials refused her father’s request that she be allowed to opt-out or be given an alternative assignment. She refused to complete her anti-Christian assignment and consequently received a failing grade."

Does Ron Reagan Jr. and his Freedom From Religion Council know about this injustice?

[ Wood refused to deny her faith “by making a written profession of the Muslim conversion prayer known as the shahada – ‘There is no god by allah and Muhammad is the messenger of allah,’” ]

Good for her. Spirit of antichrist and One-World Religion in action. The NEA is a Communist organization. /Captain Obvious

[Wood also had been forced to view a series of Islam-promoting PowerPoint slides, including one casting aspersions on Christians that said, "Most Muslims' faith is stronger than the average Christian."]

All according to plan. His real father's plan (John 8:44) - he worked that plan, too. Quite the Manchurian Candidate from the pit of Hell.

How does the Supreme Court NOT take this case?

Where else could it possibly go?

Being forced to speak words of conversion to another faith? Or suffer consequences?

That IS religious persecution.

The news here is only one student refused to comply.

That this teacher is still employed, the school principle was not run out of town and the school board was not voted out speaks volumes as to where we will be in another few years.......

Why is it unbelievable? It’s been happening over the last 50 years.

From https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/legal-issues/christian-student-challenged-a-school-history-lesson-on-islam-and-lost-in-court/2019/02/12/2a7d78fa-2ee4-11e9-813a-0ab2f17e305b_story.html :

“Wood was also required to complete a work sheet on the growth of Islam, the “beliefs and practices,” and the links between Islam, Judaism and Christianity. A fill-in-the-blank section included the statement: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah,” a portion of an Islamic declaration of faith known as the shahada.”

. . .

“Wood received a lower grade for the lesson, but it did not affect her final grade, filings show.”

. . .

“...students “were not required to memorize the shahada, to recite it, or even to write the complete statement of faith,” according to the ruling.”

I think the last part is one of the reasons the USSC didn’t take the case, as well as that her final grade was not affected so there as nothing to remedy.

It’s good to know something about other religions, but when I was a high school student, we never had to get into the minutiae of each religion’s statement of faith, etc.

Leftist school teachers are you enemy, folks. Yes, they are your enemy. Stop thinking you can live in peace with these people. We can not.

Next steps would be to look at the reasoning why the Supreme Court did not take it. Look at their wording and if there is any adjustment in wording and resubmittal that’s what should be done. There should be a harder wording that the exercise chose one religion over another. Perhaps that was not stressed hard enough. I don’t know but all I know is we keep hearing on this thread that they didn’t take it but there is no “why” presented. I am not in any way taking the Supreme Court’s side as I do think they are taken over by a bunch of globalists.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Pinging both lists on this atrocity.

We are toast when islam has gained enough of a foothold that this kind of thing can happen.

We are betrayed by the Supreme Court.

‘the center explained Wood “believes it is a sin to profess the existence of any other god but the Christian God.’

no, unless she is prepared to proclaim that two-thirds of the world population are sinners...that said, neither she nor anybody should be forced to mouth or write any proclamation negating her beliefs...

The parents hold some blame here btw, there are 2 Christian Academies nearby, not one but two. No Catholic High Schools within easy reach, unfortunately.

She received a failing grade from the demonic government schools.

The Lord, The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, will see her in a differeng light.

Jesus told us:

27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

neither does the antiChristian ACLU.

It was a KKK klansman on the Supreme Court who ushered in the modern “separation of church and state” arguments because he didn’t like the idea of CATHOLIC students using public school buses to go to parochial schools.

Discrimination is a thing. But the gay gods in black dresses on the Supremacist Court get to decide who can and cannot be discriminated against.

If a teacher wants to present this material in the context of studying comparative religion, fine. As long as Muslim students are required to recite the Lord’s Prayer. Gotta mix in the other major religions on the same basis as well.
