House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday accused billionaire President Donald Trump of not understanding the financial burden of the government shutdown on federal workers.
"He thinks maybe they could just ask their father for more money," Pelosi said. "But they can't."

10 year average for federal workers is 1.04%. Not the giant gain your thinking about. Don’t get me wrong. Most feds are over paid under worked bureaucrats. In the STEM area not so much.

...and anyone can post a resume at usajobs.gov. Just because some of us work for the government doesn’t mean we’re trying to take advantage. There are important jobs out there that some of us work because it does make a difference. You might also want to double check the benefits again, they’re not as great as our parents had.
No we are guaranteed a annual cost of living raise. We several years during the obama administration without a raise. Besides that many of us are considered essential and have to work without pay during a shutdown. My Bill’s dont stop just because the government shuts down.
I realize that there are many federal jobs that need to be phased out but once again some of us are essential especially if you want your border secured.
