Three women and two men are dead in a shooting in a condominium building on Chicago’s Northwest Side by a neighbor who was known to have “anger management issues,” police said.
A woman who had been in critical condition after a gunman opened fire in two units of a Dunning condo building died Sunday from her injuries, bringing the death toll to five from the Saturday night shooting rampage, police said.
Authorities said the man left his condo in the 6700 block of West Irving Park Road in the Dunning neighborhood, went to a neighbor’s home in the same building and, “for reasons we don’t yet know,” shot and killed four people as they sat around a table eating dinner.
The man, identified as a 66-year-old construction worker who has lived in the building for about 15 years, then went to another neighbor’s condo and shot a 53-year-old woman, according to authorities.
Police said the suspect is in custody, and a weapon has been recovered.
The deceased are a 66-year-old woman, a 61-year-old man, a woman in her late 30s, a man in his late 40s and the 52-year-old woman, police said. Their identities have not been released by authorities.
First Deputy Superintendent Anthony Riccio of the Chicago Police Department said the man believed to be the shooter has had run-ins with neighbors in the past.
“Most of the occupants inside the building have had problems with him in the past but nothing obviously of this magnitude,” Riccio said. “He’s had confrontations with people in the building before. We don’t know what set him off tonight.”
Neighbors told police that prior incidents in the building involving the alleged gunman ranged from people making “too much noise to exchanging dirty looks to bumping into each other in the stairwell," Riccio said.

I don’t know what happened, but from experience, it’s really easy to get mad at the stupid people on the condo board and their ridiculous rulings.
“known to have “anger management issues,” police said.” Illinois has a Red Flag Law. Known issues...why wasn’t this law used? (Not that I favor the law.) Why? Because they don’t want to use it. It is just a law to use on those who probably will not resist the law. Use it to burn you when you mess up.

Police said the man then went upstairs and shot a woman. The woman was transported in critical condition.
A Chicago police spokesman previously told us all the victims died, but later corrected that information.
Police said all the victims are in their 40’s.

Since this the first Chicago violence story that has bubbled up on my Yahoo News Feed in a long time, I expect they're white. Owning condos also would seem to confirm.

The Dunning site was home for a local Chicago asylum with thousands of dead “patients” buried haphazardly all over the place like “Poltergeist”. Bad Ju-Ju in that area.
That neighborhood is about 2/3 white and 1/4 Hispanic. One of the victims has a Russian name. I just saw an interview on the news of a Hispanic guy who lived there.
