This will be a weekly post.
Count remains at 150 judges confirmed.
105 District Court judges
43 Circuit Court judges
2 Supreme Court justices
Upon reconvening after a lengthy summer break, the Senate confirmed 6 judges that should have been confirmed in July. There have been none since.
That's right. Only six judges since July!
There are currently 16 district judges on the floor waiting for a vote.
Enough with the breaks and recesses, Mitch. Get your ass in gear!
Maybe the republicans cant get 50 votes.
This is frustrating.
McConnell and the RINOcrats fail again in their responsibilities to the American people.
No. There are only two more nominees awaiting confirmation, and they’ll both get votes this week.
The rest of the open seats are district court judges, where Lindsay Graham said he would honor the “blue slip” where the senators from that state can veto a judge.
Charles Grassley eliminated the blue slip for circuit court judges two years ago, but maintained the blue slip for district court judges.
Really, Trump is waiting on a whole lot more circuit court judges to take senior status, retire, or die. He has pretty much filled all appellate openings.
Thx for the explanation.
Late reply..thank you or the explanation.
