I am retired and in my late sixties, in excellent health, exercise every day—and there is _no_ _way_ I would subject my body and mind to the kind of stress that these candidates endure every day.
It is an “accident” waiting to happen.
They would never nominate Bernie anyway, he’s just the Pat Paulsen of the 21st century.
Or any old white guy, for that matter. A cynic might wonder if this Ukraine story isn’t a DNC attempt to get two birds with one stone.

Hopefully, we’ll have more entertainment: wearing various hideous omar-the-tent-maker fashions, being thrown into her medi-van like a slab of rotting meat, having seizures, stumbling down stairs, being helped up stairs, having uncontrollable coughing spasms. None of the current Dems other than Biden has a chance in Iowa.

I'm a few years younger than you, and I couldn't agree with you more. The perks of power in DC must be awesome for people to pursue power instead of spending time with their families.
I usually get to pick up my grandson after school, it's the highlight of my day. Running for any public office is the furthest thing from my mind.
I guess AOC will have to run, as soon as she’s old enough.
