What Americans will (and won't) give up to fight climate change (only 11.35 years left)

When it comes to combating climate change, a lot of people who talk the talk don’t actually walk the walk, particularly if it means traveling on foot instead of by car.

While Americans are willing to make convenient changes to reduce the carbon emissions that scientists say are driving climate change and creating unpredictable weather patterns, they resist when faced with inconvenience, according to the results of a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

About nine in 10 Americans said they often or always turn off lights when they’re not needed, according to the poll. And more than half said they set their thermostat to 68 degrees or lower in the winter to reduce power consumption by their heaters.

But only 45 percent of respondents said they often or always set the air conditioner at 76 degrees or higher in the summer to do the same. Close to a third of Americans said they hardly ever or never set their thermostat that high.

I've given up on 16-year-old spoiled brats telling me how to live. I also refuse to listen to anyone who owns any beachfront mansions, yachts or private jets. But, that's just me.

When PDJT is gone, whenever that is, the dam is going to break. They’re going to come at us from every direction, and life here is going to change drastically. Obama will seem like one nervous toe in the pool compared to what they’re going to try to stuff down our throats.

I cut trees and burn them as a part of my business (local governments pay me to do it too)

I cut and burn wood in a wood stove

I drive an F350 4x4 and generally go through about 50 gallons of gas a week

I have a burn barrel that I incinerate my trash in, after I bag it in plastic grocery bags

We burn 5-800 gallons of diesel a week in our machines

I too, turn out the lights (well, most of them) when I’m not home. but that has nothing to do with “climate change”, it has everything to do with my electic bill. (same with the woodstove with my gas bill)

Farmers pay my bills, and without all of us, the enviroweenies don’t eat

If the west does everything and the third world does not we will still be in the same place in 11.35 years which I doubt will be an irredeemable catastrophe.

Pop science has been pumping this gloom and doom sludge since the 1970s. There is a lot of money and power in the climate issue. THAT is what the debate is really about.

I will be impressed when all of the Ecowarrior hipsters give up their numerous electronic toys that continually are connected to the Internet. Dipsh*ts.

I’m not giving up a goddamned thing in the name of that hoax. They can shove it.

Questions to ask these children pushing for action on climate change:

Are you willing to give up your smart phone th save the planet? They use electricity which produces CO2

Are you willing to give up having your car and use public transportation. Even electric cars contribute to climate change?

Are you willing to give up air conditioning. That uses a huge amount of electricity which produces CO2?

You have to give up the scientific method to believe in climate change, so you might as well give up everything else, too.

A report earlier in the year shows most of these teenage ecowarriors are from wealthy homes same with social justice warriors.

Lets see them get rid of their large homes, cars and lifestyle. They only want the little people to do so.

Poor or lower middle class teens are hardly ever represented at these movements.

Greta Thunbergs parents are wealthy and very famous in Sweden

Nothing. That’s what I’m willing to give up to fight the nonexistent fantasy of man caused climate change. Although, I’m willing to sacrifice an entire bus load of mouthy arrogant children who have the effrontery to tell me what I should do to appease their childish imaginations.
