A Sumner County man is claiming his first amendment rights have been violated after Sheriffs Department deputies cited him for an obscene car sticker.
It shows two rifles sandwiching the letters U and C, followed by the words Gun Control.
According to the official citation, law enforcement says the message spells out the F word."
Nicholas Ennis says its been on his truck for about a year.
Its got the symbol of a M-16 at the front and a symbol of an AK-47 at the end of it. The only thing you see on it is U-C gun control and two guns, Ennis said.
The car decal caught the eye of deputies yesterday at the Mapco in Westmoreland.
He said the reason I pulled you over was because of my sticker on my truck being potentially obscene, Ennis said.

Thank you.I knew as soon as I hit the post button that I should have wrote” There is a Sumter County in Florida”
At the bottom of the article under topics-US/Tennessee.
If the state isn’t mentioned in the article I always check the topics and keywords.
How about my kudos in absentia?
Gotta love a good crack-back.
Literally (in every sense) you made me laugh out loud.
Thanks!
Ban all added words, pictures or logos on all licensed an registered MVs. They are a distraction to safe operation. There. This resolves all hurt feeling and argument over what is or isn’t appropriate. Ban them for safety of operation.
Would that work for everyone?
Personally, I have no added stuff on my vehicles- no need to advertise anything, as everything/anything irritates somebody, and I have no desire to have to deal with anyone who decides to confront me who otherwise wouldn’t need two shots to the torso and one to the face....(sarc?)
Ive seen plenty of Tuck Frump around too. Mostly the leftist side of town.
Where is the ACLU on this?
Because there has to be limits and restrictions on those silly ass amendments.
#yaignoranttool
Because it does; denying this is foolish.
It doesn't do so explicitly, though ... it's a fine example of walking right up to the line and putting your toe on it, but not crossing it.
Case dismissed. First Amendment.
IMHO.
Is she black?
"IMPEACH THE COX SACKER"
Which- in the Nixon days was pretty risque especially since spotted on the bumper of a 'SYT'....
