There were cold decades, there were hot decades, but throughout recorded human history, on a human timescale, the climate has behaved the same as it always has. Only on a geological time scale can one speak of real "climate change".

Absolutely correct. And if we look at that geological time line, we can see (from ice core evidence extracted from Antarctica) that in fact the earth is COOLING. This is not a big surprise as the earth is also SLOWING DOWN in its rotation. The “warm” interglacial periods are getting cooler as they reoccur every 100,000 years or so. So the answer is, YES, the climate is changing, but ever so slowly.

I don’t dispute there’s been a warming trend (less than one degree) over the last century.
I can even accept that human activity may be contributing to it.
But I don’t buy the claims about a sudden dire catastrophe if we don’t immediately adopt global socialism.

- warming
- anthropogenic
- massive immediate catastrophe therefore global socialism

The reason the left changed “global warming” to “climate change” is precisely because only a Dimwitted would deny that climate changes.
Their slight of hand was to pin a large portion of the “responsibility” on human action in order to control us.
