It was worse then that. Recall the East Anglia emails were leaked and it showed the same idiots fudging the data to bias the temperature up since it actually showed the opposite.
Their whole meme was crumbling, so they conspired to fictionalize it.
And that’s when “globull warming” went out of favor. They had to stop talking about it. That was 2008. It was a few years later that they started babbling “climate change” which was a euphemism for warming (wink wink).
It’s a complete crock. The glaciers in central Europe are in fact receding, but it’s been shown that’s likely due to actual pollution leading to decreased albedo.
