Because they like having food on the kitchen table to feed their families.,p> It just occurred to me that we don't have a kitchen table. We eat in the dining room. Do you think politicians use the term "kitchen table politics" because they think it may resonate with more middle/lower social class folks? Just curious.

It’s odd that people don’t actually like their property, prosperity and liberty taken from them. /sarc

I see your comment as more to the point than perhaps you meant it to be. Behind Warren's slogan "You didn't build that", is the notion that an individual has no right to property, even property that they created, except what the government deems as beneficial or fair to all. It's an argument which instead or creating wealth, would level it. Unfortunately, without an incentive to work hard for their own gain, most individuals do the minimum, or the government stroke. This always turns out to mean that everyone gets much poorer, even if the misery is spread equally.

Trump in a landslide 2020.

He'll win, but it won't be a landslide. The Democrat platform will contain a smorgasbord of gibmedat proposals that will draw hordes of couch potato takers out to the polls.

“...Do you think politicians use the term “kitchen table politics” because they think it may resonate with more middle/lower social class folks? Just curious....”

Well, judging from what I know of politicians and they way they think, I’d have to say yes.

The middle class in this country of Ours has always been the great equalizing force in politics. We’re the people who MOVE the Country; we pay the bills, provide the services, string the electric lines, invent the next useful item, propel the economy, do the living and the dying that keeps this wonderful Nation of Ours alive for generations.

Which is why the socialists are trying so hard to disarm and destroy the Middle Class.

Both sides play the game, pretending to be “for the little guy” - but neither of them are. They’re for themselves first and everything else a distant second. They enrich themselves at OUR expense, they stay too long on the “Public Service” tit, all the while getting benefits and perks that neither you nor I will never ever see in our lifetime - and that WE pay for.

Then they look down their noses at us derisively at election time and preach at us, while telling us they’re “fighting for us”.

The ONLY person fighting for me right now is Donald Trump. He’s NOT “One of them” - he’s one of US, and I have his back.

The rest of them can KMA. Aside from a few exceptions, they’re parasites.

And cheating. Don’t forget the cheating. I really hope something is in place to prevent illegals from voting and for Dems to keep counting until they get the numbers they need.

There is NO PATH.. ZERO to the white house for the Democrats in 2020... short of either a complete economic meltdown between now and next November, or some other black swan event of that magnitude.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

my main worry is a FF event that escalates.

I have the feeling a lot of the things we are seeing in the ME may be well equipped and well funded “independent contractors” run by jihadi john - no name elements

they’re trying to engage trump into making a bad decision.

TRUMP might be able to pull it off!

Hillary got 1,367,716 votes

TRUMP got 1,322,951 votes

Just 44,765 votes off

2016 Gary Johnson got 112,972 votes but in 2012 he only got 35,098 votes

That 77,874 vote differance could be The #NeverTRUMPers plus Evan McMullin also got 53,076 votes so TRUMP could potentially net 130,950 votes minus Jill Stein's 36,985 votes so let's just say 93,965 new votes for TRUMP

93,965 new votes + these missing voters

⤵️

could win it but 2012 Obama got 1,546,167 votes over Hillary's lame 1,367,716 votes so I don't know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a headache 🤣

If Trump has the Iron range, then he has Duluth. If he has Duluth, he probably has MN.

Finally the guys up north have seen the light, and it took a strong person like Donald Trump to be the catalyst to tip this state.

"Tip? You mean, like, Guam?"

Looking back....was obama beatable in 2012?

We might have won in 2012, if we had a candidate without deep psychological illnesses, and whose desire to become President was something other than being able to out-rank his father and grandfather.

I have been POUNDING home open borders and free chit paid for by American taxpayers to anybody who cares to wander in to lots of folks I know who lean Democrat. I’ve been reminding them the whole Democrat field (except Biden) endorsed it. If Biden fades as we all know he will, this is what the Donkeys advocate.

They ALL hate it. HATE it. Black, White, Hispanic, working class, middle class, they HATE it. That one piece of lunacy alone will cripple the Donkeys in 2020.

Trump in a landslide 2020.

I stopped at a Trump apparel booth at a very large country fair in CT over labor day. The talk was Trump will sweep the electoral college except 6 states and win the popular vote. Further conversations - It's all about the cash in peoples pockets, the freedom to switch jobs now that they've been stuck in for decades and that there is so many jobs that are out there. Us men just want to bring home the bacon to mamma and our babies.
