A Bronx man arrested for fare jumping was carrying a gun and three dozen bags of weed and told cops he pulled the brainless move because he was rushing to court to appear for a worse crime, law enforcement sources said Thursday.
Ex-con Billy Walters, 37, allegedly slipped through an emergency subway gate at the 149th Street station without paying at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest affidavit.
When a police officer stopped him, she allegedly spotted a loaded .45-caliber Sig Sauer in his waistband at which point he rattled off the worst excuse ever, the officer said.
I didnt pay, because I was running late to go to court. I got arrested yesterday, Walters allegedly blabbed to her.
The fare-skipper who on Monday was busted on menacing charges for allegedly flashing a gun at someone then claimed he had a license for the semi-automatic weapon, the affidavit states.

Dang, I noted it was a Sig .45.....not a HighPoint
$650 pistol......
Well, if he’s going to bring weed to court at least he brought enough for everybody.
He didn’t buy that .45 Sig legally.
Perhaps they’ll return it to the legal owner?
LOL
NOT a kel-tec either. :-)
(NSFW, as if anyone needed to be told that)
He will get 90 suspended sentence for that stolen gun.
“He Got WEEEEEED! He Got WEEEED!”
My lawyer told me to be well prepared when I go to court!
You know, I’m *basically* a law abiding citizen, not some gang banger from the Bronx. But, I’ve had to appear in court a few times for various issues. Every time, every single time, I have checked my bag and pockets for contraband and anything that might be considered contraband before leaving my home. It’s just best practice!
"But if you jump a turnstile carrying a loaded gun and smoking a joint, then maybe you NEED your a** kicked."
