I'm a volunteer firefighter here in Australia. When I first began training for that role, I was told of a firefighters creed.
If lives are in danger,
Though your own be in doubt
You have to go in
You don't have to come out.
Cannot help thinking of that everytime I see footage of New York's Bravest on September 11, 2001.

The Kiwi's are awesome people.
In WWII they sent a higher percentage of draft age men to the war than did either the USA or England.
They did so with no draft in place.

I was in a university rugby club in the States. We don’t play from childhood like the New Zealanders. We couldn’t touch them or the ball much. It was hilarious. ;)
