The Kiwi's are awesome people.
In WWII they sent a higher percentage of draft age men to the war than did either the USA or England.
They did so with no draft in place.

That's impressive. Many thanks to them.
(My own father was over the age to be drafted, but as soon as Pearl Harbor happened, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps - many of his friends also enlisted then. Following similar sentiments and a similar situation, a lot of Americans enlisted because of 9/11, too.)
