“Because that worked so well for Bush.”

Bush being a pussy and not fighting back has nothing at all to do with what I’m talking about.

Boycott the fake news - don’t give them ratings. You’re the dope.

You keep saying “addressing” - all you are doing is feeding them by paying attention. They thrive on attention and that’s what you are giving them.

“So you’d rather be like the DUmmies and read an echo chamber’s mutual masturbations?”

No, of course not. I’d rather read the truth, not lies. You don’t learn anything from repeating and obsessing over their lies. They lie. It’s as simple as that.

And they tell the same lies over and over again, so it’s stuff we’ve already heard a thousand times. You make it sound like you are gathering enemy intel and figuring out their secret strategies - duh. They just lie - there’s nothing of value there to discuss.

Mulling over their lies each news cycle is just a form of pornographic sensationalism - no different than rubbernecking when there’s a accident on the freeway. “Oh the horror!” “Listen to what Chris Mathews said! Isn’t it outrageous?”

Nobody needs to hear what Chris Matthews has to say - don’t act like there’s some virtue in listening to their lies - they are absurd, repetitious, predictable and of absolutely no intellectual value whatsoever. It won’t make you a better debater. It won’t prepare you for their next lie. It won’t help you “understand your adversary”. It won’t give you insights into their strategy.

All it does is encourage them by giving them what they want; attention, ratings, an audience, free air time.

So if a mass shooter can obtain a gun illegally, just as they do in Chicago despite the tough gun laws, this is an argument in favor of making it harder to get a gun legally, because the mass shooters in Texas did? What’s wrong with this Lewis Carol/Gilbert & Sullivan reasoning?

What he omitted was that both gunmen in Texas obtained their weapons legally. Most of the guns used in homicides in Chicago were obtained illegally. There’s a huge difference.

WHAT is the difference? Is the nitwit contending the TX shooters couldn't have gotten their guns under Chicago laws? That theory is refuted by the second of the two points. There's NO difference between obtaining a gun legally and illegally (as far as committing a crime with it).

Yes, it’s a big improvement to be killed by an illegally obtained gun.

Yes,exactly. GUN CONTROL DIDN'T WORK IN CHICAGO, OR ANYWHERE ELSE IT HAS BEEN TRIED, AND IT NEVER WILL. Dumb ass.

Easy.
All firearms to be registered.
All transfers to require a background check, and concurrent re-registration.
All firearms not PC* to be confiscated.
All remaining firearms not previously confiscated to be confiscated.

Exemptions only for our elite liberal masters and their bodyguards/goons.

*All modern firearms, particularly any that are suitable for defending against multiple assailants.

“...the @gop’s unwillingness to protect their constituents...”

Dear Lori:

The GOP doesn’t HAVE to protect us; it’s not their job.

We’re ARMED and we protect ourselves... typically from YOUR constituents.

Just sayin’...

Wow...

Dahleen must have stayed awake all night figuring out how to spell “disingenuous” AND use it in a sentence.

That’s a five-syllable word, after all...

And if I’m not mistaken, did she say during her acceptance speech that, Gender Equality, in the Windy City was her first priority.

And one of the shameful things that the author brings up is saying that the ‘murder rate’ isn’t the highest in the nation, as if that’s something to be proud of when they’re tallying dozens of people shot, on the regular and multiple people killed.

Wasn’t it a year or two ago that Chicago was averaging around 5 or 6 murders a day?
