If you eat a lot of carbs in your eating window, it’s going to make fasting very difficult with the blood sugar spikes. That’s why they recommend combining IF with a Low-Carb or Keto Diet, so level out your blood sugar and make it easier to do.

I use the 16 hours off : 8 hours on intermittent fasting. It works fantastic for me and fits into my lifestyle and work schedule.

I find the less I eat, the less I want to eat. I'm down to two meals a day with a little grazing mid-day.

This is basically your Naked and Afraid Starvation diet.

Your body is telling it that you’re in the wilds, and foraging for food. This releases your bad genes, that accelerate aging.

In summary: I’d say an occasional fast as is limiting your caloric intake, but this is a spin on a starvation diet, that over long term will be more harmful to you.

Plus, fast for 36 hours? Are you nuts?

The study was for only 4 weeks? Like I said, it’s the Naked and Afraid diet.

It’s basically, skip a day and don’t eat first thing in the morning.

I tried a five day fast a few months ago. It worked really well. It was long enough that I was careful regarding the re-feeding phase. The next one will be for two weeks.

Nah, Its just proving that humans aren’t supposed to have food in their digestive tract 24/7. We aren’t supposed to make our endocrine digestive enzymatic systems run non stop. People should understand that all systems in the body need rest...

You can “endure” and diet for 4 weeks. The trick is to change the lifestyle. Americans eat terribly, because the processed foods are high in sugar. Obesity is rampant.

All of these diets work in the short term. The ones that still work a year later require re-education and breaking of bad eating habits.

This kind of diet over time, unleashes the “bad genes” in your body. Their mission is to take you out, and not let you procreate.
