Joe Walsh announces Trump primary challenge: 'I'm in'

Former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh announced Sunday morning that he is running for president as a Republican, challenging President Trump in the GOP primary race.

"Friends, I'm in. We can't take four more years of Donald Trump. And that's why I'm running for President," Walsh tweeted. "It won't be easy, but bravery is never easy. But together, we can do it."

Walsh is also a chronic deadbeat who has been sued by his creditors and his ex-wife for failing to pay child support.

He would have to pay people to circulate his nominating petitions in Illinois where he is not well liked. The party establishment has shunned Walsh for years.

Joe Walsh is just a loud mouthed party pooper, out for himself instead of our country. With all the dummocrap interference coming from the left, impeding Trump from accomplishing what we want him to do, attention seeking Walsh just HAS to add another interference to the mix. I can't stand to listen to his radio program, it's like listening to nails scratched along a blackboard, full of nasty remarks and hate. That was bad enough, but his entering the race to make trouble for Trump is inexcusable. I wish he would get a card signed by all FReepers: "Walsh--stay outta the race. We don't need or want you. We want Trump!" That would be an appropriate slap to his arrogant face.

For a while I thought that Mitt Romney might run. Maybe he still might. Former SC Governor Sanford had mentioned possibly running. After reading this article which has 54 clickable links, I can see why he shouldn’t/wouldn’t, and probably has had a talking to from other Republicans.
