Joe Walsh, a conservative radio show host and former Republican congressman from Illinois, is expected to announce he is running for president as early as this weekend, presenting President Trump with a challenger from the right his critics hope will weaken the president in the 2020 election.

At this point, knowing all President Trump has done and is trying to do for America and for the AMERICAN PEOPLE (novel concept), and in light of the criminality and un-American nature of the democrat/CPUSA(Comunist Party USA), any so called “republican” running against POTUS is only helping the Marxists in their quest to bring about the downfall of the USA.
I’ve heard that ancient Roman Emperors would have a Court Assistant who’s job was to march with the Emperor during parades full of pomp and pageantry. The Court Assistant would repeatedly whisper in his Emperors ear: “Do not forget, you are but Mortal!”
Some celebrities become falling stars when they start to believe their glowing press releases and the lavish compliments of fans who will never meet or work with them.
I thought it was "All Glory, Is Fleeting."
You are most likely correct. I couldn’t recall the exact phrase. I do remember the lesson of humility that was intended by it. Said another way, in Urban English:
“Check yourself, before you wreck yourself!”
It was quoted at the end of “Patton”.
Hi.
“Well he is a great guitar player musician.”
Only two posts. FReepers are amazing.

That jack*ss musta gotten tired of simply bashing Trump on Twitter, and tired of the Rocky Mountain Way in general.
Oh thank God! I actually like Joe Wilson!
I stand corrected!!
His Maserati does 185...
he lost his license, so now he don’t drive.
Maybe this fool can team up with kasich
Actually, President Trump, as good as he is, needs a primary opponent, *not* with the idea of becoming the nominee, but a polite, well-spoken candidate to *criticize* the President on “What conservatives still want, but that you have not yet given them.”
Basically a conservative who will give President Trump unfiltered information, that his inner circle may not have allowed to reach him.
So this opponent has the purpose of being a lightning rod for the best conservative thought out there.
*Not* to damn President Trump, but actually praise his actions that really meant a lot to conservatives. And to give him lots of ideas on how to do what he does better.
Importantly, at the same time, this candidate can really light in to those liberal Republicans, RINOs, and those who stand in the way of President Trump. He can say things about them that President Trump is too polite to say.
He can also criticize the Republican leadership for their willingness to back bad Republican candidates based on their “imaginary electability”, over strong conservatives who actually *can* win if the party backs them.
If he does a good enough job, maybe President Trump will even agree to debate with him, a quality debate with conservative moderators that will blow the Democrats out of the water.

Walsh isnt that guy. He sounds to me like a neocon
Trump hasnt built the wall or disengaged us fron Syria and Afghanistan as he promised. He needs a primary challenger who would point those things out and prod Trump to finally deliver. Walsh definitely isnt that guy
Oh good. A two year wonder congressman that complains about Trump’s successes. And he thinks becoming a talk show host qualifies him for a job of running the business of the country?
Here’s an article he recently wrote for the NY Times:
Theres a strong case for President Trump to face a Republican primary challenger. I know a thing or two about insurgencies. I entered Congress in 2011 as an insurgent Tea Party Republican. My goals were conservative and clear: restrain executive power and reduce the debt. Barack Obama was president then, and it was easy for us to rail against runaway spending and executive overreach.
Eight years later, Mr. Trump has increased the deficit more than $100 billion year over year its now nearing $1 trillion and we hear not a word of protest from my former Republican colleagues. He abuses the Constitution for his narcissistic trade war. In private, most congressional Republicans oppose the trade war, but they dont say anything publicly. But think about this: Mr. Trumps tariffs are a tax increase on middle-class Americans and are devastating to our farmers. Thats not a smart electoral strategy.
Its one of the many reasons Mr. Trump is ripe for a primary challenger. In fact, it would buck the historical trend if he didnt have one. More often than not, unpopular presidents face primary challengers.
He describes himself as a moderate republican that claims belonging to the tea party. Huh!? He has little experience, no practice, and isn’t truefull with what I already displayed. But he has a talent as he did take lessons in stage, theater and television at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and Los Angeles. Another moderate actor. That’s all we need.
Oh, how can Trump increase he deficit nearing $1T over an eight year time frame when he’s only been in political office for 4? This guy is also math challenged. And party challenged as he mentions his former republican colleagues. Another cross over conservative defector, in his own words.

Radio show tanking, eh, Joe?
I never heard of him. Should I care about this?
Nope, Having Joe sit there and yell at Trump about how he could have done something slightly better is not helpful. Joe believes in killing the good on the alter of the perfect. Joe is not helpful at all. I have been listing to him for 2 years. And its clear he hates China, but Trump could handle China better. He loves police, but Joe loves police more. He loves the military, but somehow Trump could have gotten another dollar for the military budget. Joe thinks Trump should spend less, but he thinks Trump should not close down the government.
Joe is just a plain old nevertrumper who has been lying to us for years. They are for all the things we are for, until someone gives it to them, then its not good enough. Joe does not want to sharpen Trump or test Trump. Joe wants to destroy Trump.
The smoker you drink, the player you get! Good lick getting your ass kicked Joe. Hey get Glenn Beck in as your running mate
The man is not a Tea Party Republican
He is a sanctimonious selfrighteous purist that should be shot before he can do the conservative effort damage
Very few politicians have core beliefs, they just say what they think will get them elected, and once they’re in Washington, they look to cash in.
