Just... coldhearted. There's no other word to describe it.

Yeah, shooting a fleeing perp in the back is not a good plan.

“but his intention was never to harm Harris.”

his attny says this after the shooter was heard saying on the scene “ I think i shot him” and does nothing to call for help for the person who got shot?

After seeing that contridcition in the story, i still have to say the theif did deserve some sort of serious punishment, but maybe not death. way too much coldhearted theft and it’s increasing, not getting better

If you invert the vowels in the last word of your handle, it would add some humour to your comment.

While I can agree that people should be able to enjoy a brewski, and would agree that it is cold-hearted to deny people this basic enjoyment, I do think that shoplifting crosses a line.

If it were Chicago, I believe the words ho-hum would apply.

"This defendant took it upon himself to be the judge and jury and the executioner over a $2 beer," prosecutor Lora Fowler said

Go into prosecutor Lora Fowler's house, steal a $2 beer, just leave without threatening anyone or anything, and see what happens...

On the store’s balance sheet, those lawyer bills and the lost income while in prison just might exceed $2.00.

My bet is that the kid made it a habit of ripping off the store. Years ago two Yemeni brothers who ran a gas station in Detroit chased down a black drive off and beat him to death with tire irons. It came out that the guy had a long history of targeting Arab shopkeepers and had been accused of sexually assaulting several Arab girls. This particular incident resulted in a lot of clashes between blacks and Arabs. Blacks always resent successful foreigners, much like the South Koreans in LA.

The kid was UNDERAGE for alcohol, so he would have died anyway, if he had a chance to drink it.

Some libs I know would scream, “He didn’t deserve to be killed over a can of beer!”

To which I told them about a similar situation they were upset over, “Maybe not. But the only reason he was shot at, at all, was because he stole something he knew he had no right to take. He paid with his life for his stupidity.”

I knows this forum...some applaud killing a 17 year old who stole a beer

I am not one of them

I had the chance to murder a man that I was holding in Paraguay in 1986 who’d stolen a small fortune from me

A lot of money ..over a million in 2019 money

I didn’t

I don’t murder folks for money

We have to answer for killings after we die and for my own good I didn’t do it

My partner..http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3576161/posts?page=102...... who I wrote about here a few years ago turned to me and with relief said thank God cause neither of us were raised to kill folks except for exceptional reasons or self preservation

I don’t condemn folks who will kill easier, that’s up to God

"Why did this happen to my son?" Harris' father, Peete Hanson, said earlier this week. "Why was it that he was left there like that? Like he was nothing. Like he was a nobody."

One reason might be that your son does not carry your name. Was he born out of wedlock? Did you live in the same house as him and teach him to be an honorable man?

Another might be that you never taught your son that it is not right to steal another man’s property.

Certainly, it was not right for this store clerk to shoot your son in the back. But your son did provoke the encounter and does have some responsibility for his own death.

I find it interesting the race of the perp is so pertinent it is listed in the headline. if this kid had been rioting in a mall or something the headline would have simply said, “teen.”

Here's the possible sentencing for this scumbag.

Second degree murder in Tennessee is a Class A felony punishable by 15-60 years in prison and a fine not more than $50,000.

I hope the jerk gets the full 60. I didn't see any mention of depraved indifference, but they should use that to enhance his prison time. What a jerk!!
