Let us not forget that it was the NYPD that got Weiner. The NYPD got into Weiner’s laptop. The NYPD got Epstein this time and the Feds came in and took it over.
When he was just Donald J Trump, NYC billionaire real estate/casino guy, he was rather well liked. Especially by the men and women in uniform. He was the kind of guy that would quietly donate some serious cash to the PBA, etc if the police or fire departments needed a new boat or gear. Look at what he does when he gets off AF1, heads right to the cops and starts shaking hands. That isn’t an act.
That being said as I go back to my previous statement.....
NYPD uncovered all this stuff. The Presidents former head of security is retired NYPD. How hard is it to believe that, if he doesn’t have actual copies of everything, he has the cliff notes of everything and knows far more than anyone thinks he might.
While NYC leadership may publicly hate the man, the real life Detective Sipowicz, et al, love the guy. And if a helping hand could be extended, I’m sure there are many enthusiastically willing to do that.

Epstein was seen, alive, at 4:15 am, being transported to medical in the prison. Nobody has reported seeing him returned to his cell. Official reports saying he was found dead in his cell at 7:30 am. No reports on CCTV footage, or if the machine was broken, turned off, etc. Transport vehicle arrived at prison at 4:15 am. No record taken of transport vehicle license plate. Bunch of dead ends. How convenient.
It doesn't matter what Trump does or doesn't do. The media will attack him anyway.
Humor, satire, and sarcasm are potent Alinsky tactics. What Trump wants to do by retweeting that video is to get normal people to think about how deep the Clinton corruption goes. Once that happens, then they will begin to question why the left is so involved with protecting the Clintons.
The DOJ now has unfettered access to his records and property.
While I agree that the evidence that was “collected” will prove far more damaging than anything Epstein could say in a deposition, I’m gonna have to disagree on the James Bond Villain assassin coming in and sticking a needle in his arm. I do firmly believe that there are nefarious forces around the world that could easily try, and possibly pull off, something like a hit in one of the most secure places on the planet. That’s a lot of moving parts being manipulated. But who knows? Based on what has been going on in this country for the last 3 years, anything is possible.
But, I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust the DOJ as far as I could kick them. If I’m not mistaken Comey’s daughter was the lead attorney for this thing. So, just as the DOJ has unfettered access to the records, now the the PERPETRATOR is “dead”, where is the need to prosecute him? The Left will give it some time and say that any further investigation is nothing more than a fishing expedition on the part of the administration to deflect attention away from its corruption and only impugn and besmirch respected individuals and the “victims”, for without Epstein’s corroboration, everything is unfounded accusations.
So, of course, when the Left wants a fishing expedition, like the one that has been going on for the last 3 years, all is OK. When the Right wants an actual investigation, based on clear evidence or wrongdoing, if it will hurt the Dem’s ... nope, nope, nope fishing expedition and it’s not going to happen.
Don’t be shocked to read a statement from the DOJ or SDNY that they’re continuing their investigation and will tirelessly seek justice for the victims. While all their really doing is waiting for the next: active shooter - bombing - massive terrorism arrest by the FBI that saved countless lives at the last minute, so they can wipe this from the news feed with their media stooges.
Richardson, Mitchell and the Prince are cannon fodder and were easily thrown under the bus.
IMHO, there is only one thing that will keep this rolling and it won’t be because Epstein was whacked in a federal prison facility. It will come from the case in Florida(?) where the judge is allowing the release of documents from the original case, which is where the first names have come from.
On a side note, question to FR, Epstein was sued by some of the girls a while back and there was a settlement. I’m assuming that there was an NDA. Now that he’s a goner, the NDA is null and void?

Yes, the thing about Comey’s daughter is puzzling. Still, I’m not as pessimistic as you regarding the DOJ. I think Trump finally has the team in there that he wants. At least I hope so. This Epstein case goes so deep. There are scores of rich and powerful people implicated in horrendous crimes on Epstein island - people much more important than Epstein. So Epstein won’t be able to be tried for underage sex or for blackmail. But the people he blackmailed can still be tried for their crimes. And the crimes committed on Little St. James go beyond mere statutory rape. What’s being reported by the MSM has barely scratched the surface.

Recall Those two StephieStepOnAnElephant and Couric were with Epstein when he got out of prison.
