Seems so, because the cardboard cutout depicts Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and she never passes up the chance to play the victim.
These are harmless kids engaged in harmless skylarking. So harmless, they even tagged AOC in their initial posts. But they underestimated AOC’s mirthless self-importance and the punitive nature of her followers.

You clearly don’t understand the threat. If we get red flag laws, ELECTIONS WON’T MATTER ANYMORE. You voice support for the GOP? Red flag, 1st amendment suppressed. People will censor themselves. There will be no protests opposing abortion, because you’ll get red flagged. There will be no letters written to congressmen opposing forcing transgender ideology on school children, because you’ll get red flagged. There will be no discussions over the water cooler about what good public policy would be, because if you offend one of the HR toads, you’ll get red flagged.
Red flag law doesn’t just stomp the 2A into the dirt. It rapes the 1st, 4th, and 5th too. It destroys our social cohesion, which is already looking pretty rough anyway. That is, of course, the entire intent of it to begin with. An elegant solution if you’re a tyrant; I could even admire it’s simplicity and effectiveness if it weren’t so evil.
People need to get their heads out of their asses. This is, in fact, a political hill to die on.
