(Reuters) - China has approved wheat imports from the Russian region of Kurgan, the Chinese customs office said on Friday, bringing Russia a step closer to its goal of dramatically increasing grain exports.

It also approved soybean imports from all parts of Russia, the General Administration of Customs said in a separate statement on its website, having all but halted U.S. soy imports as the trade dispute between Beijing and Washington deepened.

China was the top buyer of U.S. soybeans until Beijing slapped a 25% tariff on shipments last year in response to U.S. tariffs on a range of Chinese products.

I still love him and back him with all my heart and all my prayers. That saying today has been a pretty big disappointment all around.

Somewhat disappointing on Freerepublic, too. It seems like half the population here is gone into a hole to hide and avoid the world.

And avoid fighting wars not belonging to us.

Read up on ‘Grand Solar Minimum’ and what it means for harvests in the US Midwest.

We will need those crops here.

China is basically farming a good part of Africa and Australia now. They have 1.5B mouths to feed...

Give it time, POTUS has to say the "right things" right now to placate the RINOs and the ubiquitous soccer moms. In practice, very little "gun control" has a chance to actually pass.

By then, the good guys will have fought back with Spygate declassification. That's why Trump needs Graham on his side, and McTurtle as well for continuing judge confirmations.

As far as China / Russia actions, it's the right way to go, staying the course.

The deal makes sense for them, but one big caveat. Realistically, there is nobody on earth that will have the productivity per acre of a cornbelt farmer.

Those Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas farmers are truly stupefying in their productivity, and that translates into quality and low price. Nobody else on earth will be able to match that.

” That’s why Trump needs Graham on his side, and McTurtle as well for continuing judge confirmations.”

Yup. Funny how many Freepers are STILL foaming at the mouth MAD at Turtles and Graham when they are solely responsible for making the RINO Senate fall in line to vote for the Trump judges. Without those 2 I seriously doubt Kavanaugh would sit on SCOTUS.

In other news, US farmers as negotiating the sale of wheat and soy to Russia to replace the wheat and soy Russia is selling to China... (or at least they should be!)

This may cost Trump some states in the election. Farmers & farm communities vote.

Why a "disappointment"?

Today's market "fall" wasn't even 3% of the DOW! In October of 1987, the market feel 22.6% and then bounced back, after a bit.

Well, no one should have thought there would be no cost to confronting China.
Extra unfortunate for our farmers that the world is having such good crops this year ( and
china’s pig flu problem has reduced their demand).

Overall the “war” is going well, but that’s no comfort to those suffering.

Retail trade: $9,483
Construction: $7,798
Transportation and warehousing: $5,864
Professional, scientific and technical services: $5,445

Excellent point. Our grown-ups had better be seriously planning for GSM’s coming bad effects. AGW concerns will become a laughable memory.

Honestly, what is worried about vs. what is ignored drives me crazy sometimes.

Oops...Red Flag! Come get my guns!
