I'd rather have Ratcliffe in the House too. I don't understand the hysteria with others here. There are a lot of other people besides Ratcliffe qualified for the DNI posting and it would be likely more difficult replacing Ratcliffe in the House.
I prefer to see the upside.

Strategically, that makes sense to have a strong ally like Ratcliffe in the House. All the whining never-Trumpers and Soros trolls will be along shortly to scream like little girls and bash Trump.

Yes. We lost c.44, we are losing more. He is one the few apparent conservatives. I was not happy with his nomination.

I agree! I think he has a good political career ahead of him; being a member of Trumps cabinet could well end it. He seems to be doing a great job in Congress; and DNI is not really a stepping stone to greater things.
