Ex-Hassan aide pleads guilty to helping hide evidence on leaking of GOP senators' information

A former aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) pleaded guilty to helping a former staffer enter a Senate office after hours while the staffer erased evidence indicating the staffer's involvement in the doxxing of GOP senators supporting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Samantha Davis pleaded guilty Tuesday to aiding computer fraud and evidence tampering, Politico reported, and could face up to 18 months in prison under the law.

Prosecutors indicated in court documents that they will likely not seek prison time, according to Politico, but she could face time at a halfway house or home confinement at an upcoming sentencing hearing, details about which were not immediately available.

There was reportedly no evidence that Davis knew about her co-conspirator's efforts to reveal personal information about Republican senators supporting Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Court, but Davis admitted she knew he was planning to tamper with computers after-hours.

Hassan's office did not immediately return a request for comment Tuesday evening from The Hill.

Davis declined to comment to Politico through her attorney.

Interesting that she landed with the CIA agent Rep. Sparnberger. Wonder how much of a coincidence that is. What was it Chucky S. said again regarding six ways from Sunday?

“Prosecutors indicated in court documents that they will likely not seek prison time”

Of course not.

Destroying evidence of B and E of a couple Republican Senators’ offices, no big deal!

This is not some college chicklet who "didn't know better", this is a middle-aged woman who deserves harsh punishment. She's lost her job and hopefully she is unemployable in Congressional offices from now on, even a Dem would not dare hire her. She violated our trust and does not deserve one more dime from We the People.

Unemployable? To the contrary, I expect she will be taken care of. Ever so quietly, she will be given a high paying job at an NGO somewhere.

Maybe it will be a lobbying firm. Maybe a think tank. Maybe some UN-related “charity” that just absorbs money and jets around the world demanding change. In the end, she’ll be fine.

Re: Prosecutors indicated in court documents that they will likely not seek prison time...

Get used to that message - we are going to hear it again after the The Horowitz Report comes out.

And if someone actually does get indicted, no Democrat will ever get convicted of a politically related crime in Washington D.C.

Someone needs to identify the prosecutors and demand that they explain their reasons which A.G. Barr should do.

Your picture is Senator Hassan herself.

The guilty party is 24 years old (photo of both perps below), and, unless her lawyer is incompetent, she will (or already has) deployed the "my boyfriend made me do it" defense, which usually gets murder one reduced to jaywalking.

Sorry, two damned “journalists” on different sites posted that pic alongside the name with no further explanation so I assumed it was the perp.
