Baltimore homicides exceeded 300 each year from 2015 through 2018, and 2019 is on track to cross the 300 threshold for the fifth year in a row.
A 2016 report from the Baltimore Sun showed 344 homicides for the year 2015. A homicides counter maintained by the Sun shows 318 for 2016, 342 for 2017, and 309 for 2018.
USA Today reported that the 342 Baltimore homicides in 2017 represented a “homicide rate of 56 per 100,000 people.” The homicide rate in Chicago was less than half of that, at “24 per 100,000.”
As of July 28, the Sun’s counter shows 191 Baltimore homicides for 2019, which means the city is well on its way to surpassing 300 homicides for the year.
At least five people were shot, three fatally, in Baltimore on July 27 alone. And on July 25, Breitbart News reported eight persons were shot in one night of Baltimore violence. One of the shooting victims succumbed to his wounds.
The violence, including surges in homicides, has been all-too-present in the years since Maryland implemented the Firearm Safety Act in 2013. That act put in place many of the left’s favorite gun controls, such as an “assault weapons” ban and “high capacity” magazine ban. It also implemented a fingerprinting/registration process for new handgun buyers.

Trump is bringing up the things that need to be brought up. They always say we need a national dialogue about this, or a national dialogue about that. Trump starts these dialogues, (Inconvenient Truths, let’s say), and the Left blows a gasket.

I have only been to Baltimore a few times. During the 90’s I had to stop there on three occasions, while traveling either to or from Washington DC.
1. My Sportster broke down on I95 in Baltimore. I had to WALK it down the ramp to a gas station, who recommended a motorcycle repair person whom he would gladly call to tow the bike to his repair shop. My husband and I had to stay overnight in the worst fleabag motel I have ever seen. I had to leave the bike behind and come back for it when it was ready.
2. A month later, hubby and I went back to Baltimore to pick up the bike. The guy wanted $1300, claiming he had to re-weld the frame. After paying and driving away, the bike broke down again with the same exact issue as before. Had it towed back to the guy and demanded he fix it for free this time.
3. Another week goes by and this time Hubby, some “club members” and I went back to get the bike. This time, the whole shop was GONE. We did some snooping around with neighbors and found the guy’s address. We went there, and there was my Sportster in the yard! We loaded it onto the pick-up truck and went back to MA. We stayed overnight in a Super8 (name-brand) Motel on Pulaski Highway, but were kept awake all night long because the filthy place was being rented out by the half-hour, if you catch my drift.
Since as long as I can remember, Baltimore has been a sh%*hole. Long before I was even a Trump Supporter I knew this to be a fact.

Why have Blacks been so intent on proving Jefferson right by voting time after time for Black leaders like Elijah Cummings who are too inept and corrupt to be capable of taking care of them?
Jefferson would be branded today as a White Supremacist for his views, but who can argue that cities like Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, etc., have not proven him prescient?
