Right, Assange’s claim isn’t exactly news but I guess it has renewed relevance thanks to the Butowski court filing. Even the Ratner video isn’t exactly new in that she made the remarks at a public symposium with cameras rolling. It’s not like made them in secret and they’re just now being revealed. And even if that were the case I don’t see how it would move things beyond what Assange is already known to have claimed. That said, I think it’s only a matter of time before something comes to light that proves his claim and clinches the fact that the source was Seth Rich.
