As we know, government never lets a crisis go to waste.

And if there is no actual crisis, government is happy to fake one.

Federal prosecutors are demanding El Chapo pay back the US government $12.6 billion they say the notorious kingpin made from his international drug trafficking operation.

Or what?

Or what?

Or they will taunt him, a second time.

” He was captured by the Mexican government”

If he had a chance, he might have fought back but they really must have wanted to capture him, a trophy hunt for propaganda purposes I suppose. You would think he would have had a cyanide capsule like Himmler.

I don’t know the purpose of the 12 billion fine. They can already freeze his assets via asset forfeiture.
