Carly Fiorina could be a good Secretary of Labor.

Are you serious? She nearly drove HP into the ground. The Boise division was hemorrhaging engineers because of her lousy leadership.

Dems won this one. Taking down Acosta moves them closer to tying Epstein to Trump.

Watch him and tell me you wanted him in a leadership role.

They put the French to shame this time. Acosta explained himself more than adequately at the press conference. This was unnecessary and self-harming.

President Trump chose him to be his Secretary of Labor after interviewing him. If you believe what Trump said today, he was completely satisfied with his performance. Trump did not have to bring Acosta to the impromptu presser or warmly embrace him verbally and physically. He wanted to make the point that Acosta was treated unfairly and that he had his unwavering support.

I’ll bet the media was lead to believe that President Trump was in trouble with this issue.

They were salivating and now, they are stuck with the real facts of just who was involved.

The fall back defense: they didn’t know about the girls, they were lied to, they have mental problems. Which defense will Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Charles Schumer use?

If Acosta was so competent as LABOR secretary, then why is there any support, even in silence, for H1B?! Why has there not been more push by labor to educate union workers that they can drop their unions?! Why was there not a push to eliminate work permits for illegals that are caught-and-released?! Acosta has done nothing and has not been a voice to defend AMERICANS.

Yeah, Democrats never or rarely resign for this type of stuff. I think Acosta didn’t want to rat out anybody in the Bush DOJ or attack Dems to much in support of POTUS. That would limit his future GOPe career prospects. Here he can bail on POTUS, likely cash in his federal pension and live to fight another day for the GOPe.

We are not going to get anybody better than Acosta through the useless US Senate.

Put the drugs away!!!

Fiorina loves foreign workers over American workers. No!!! We need someone that will say NO to H1B, convince Trump to say no to H1B. We need someone who will make the effort to educate union workers that they can drop their unions. We need someone who will fight on behalf of American workers to get Trump to side with American workers and stop issuing work permits to illegals caught-and-released!!!

They can be ACTING. Why botter with the Senate if they won’t support Trump’s choices? I don’t recall the limit on acting, but seems like a workable approach, one Trump is already using if I recall correctly.

I’ll bet the media was led to believe that President Trump was in trouble with this issue.

That's my take as well. Now they're trying to create some news out of whole cloth. I don't see much of an effort to protect either of the Clintons except by tactful silence but having piqued the public's interest with a particularly sordid scandal it's going to be impossible to spike the story altogether.

Like so many similar situations, what in Acosta’s background recommended him for the position of Secretary of Labor in the first place? I can’t find anything in his bio that mentions any background - even in labor-related law.

Yeah, I know, he’s an attorney, therefore he’s smart and capable of anything... /S

I predicted this.

One or two more sacrificial Republicans, maybe even indicted, and the story will disappear.

We won’t learn any new names or any significant details. It’s about over.

“Good riddance. Who is helping Trump find and pick these people? That person needs to be fired.”

Chris Christie is your man. Head of the transition team. He did get himself fired

He provided a comprehensive defense of his actions at his press conference.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes he did. I have a feeling most people did not bother to watch it.

For one thing, he said he never expected the Florida authorities would reduce the 18 months of REAL JAIL time as they did.

Secondly, he forced Epstein to pay legal bills of his accusers so they could seek restitution.

He also explained, in so many words, that the child victims were engaged in giving massages and so forth, and that they would have been attacked and shamed on the witness stand.

I am sort of sorry Acosta had to resign over this, as I do not think he is the malefactor. That would be the State people who were trying with all their might to let Epstein off the hook.

I could care less who the Secretary of Labor is. I couldn’t have named him. This is great news for Trump. He can come out and say that he will reluctantly accept the resignation and thanks for a job well done.

Get him out of Trump’s orbit ASAP.

Epstein's Ohio billionare mentor was Les Wexner

Wexner owns/owned Victoria Secret, Wet Seal, Guess jeans, Abercrombie & Fitch

HERE is an underwear ad by Abercrombie & Fitch:

The interests of the two men are clearly aligned
