Prediction: We won’t hear another word in the media about Bill Clinton and his connections with Epstein, not even a syllable. The 27 flights are tossed down the memory hole.

The Dims ability to re-direct a scandal (with help from their buddies in the MSM) remains impressive...

Let's look at the bigger picture:

- Current place holder indictment against Epstein was filed because testimony in civil cases against the convicted pedophile was just weeks away. That testimony was going to name a lot of well-known Democrats. So, the feds step in and file a new, narrow indictment against Epstein to shift attention away from the civil cases and onto the “new” federal charges. US attorney's office (SDNY) that filed latest indictment still packed with career Democrat prosecutors.

- Questionable plea deal that Acosta signed off on came as Epstein was about to walk on ALL charges he faced back in 2008. Palm Beach Police Department spent months investigating the pervert and delivered a solid case, but the local (Democrat) DA refused to file charges. Without the federal plea deal—as bad as it was—Epstein would have likely served no jail time.

- Epstein was welcomed back by Democrat donors and pols after being released from jail. Virtually all of his political donations went to Dims, and he was generous in funding liberal causes, as well as left-wing academia. Chuck Schumer was one of several pols who received thousands of dollars in contributions from Epstein—money he happily accepted (and has not returned)

- The media often repeats Trump's 2002 “he's a great guy” comment about Epstein, while ignoring the fact that DJT permanently banned him from Mar-a-Largo after Epstein made unwelcome advances to a female staffer. And if I'm not mistaken, the ban came before his original indictment. Compare that to Hollywood, which welcomed the convicted pedophile “back” after he emerged from jail in 2009.

- Acosta wasn't the only person who signed off on the plea deal. The FBI did its own investigation, but the evidence they obtained (apparently) had little impact on the case. Who was FBI Director at the time? Why, Bobby Mueller. And don't forget Acosta's comment on the matter from a few years ago, saying he was told that “Epstein belonged to intelligence,” meaning there would be a limit to the punishment he might receive.

- And of course, the person with arguably the most to lose (other than Epstein) was another well-known Democrat predator, Bill Clinton. More than two dozens trips on Epstein's notorious “Lolita Express” private jet. About the same number to his private “Rape Island” in the Caribbean.

At least one reporter who has investigated the matter extensively reports underage girls were on Epstein's plane on every flight made by Clinton. But, the big headline (right now) in a Democrat sex and influence scandal is the resignation of a Republican labor secretary, who was involved in the terrible plea deal that Epstein got more than a decade ago. Just ignore all the Democrats who were intimately involved with the perv, and move along, while the GOP-E hides beneath their desks and prays the whole mess will blow over. Never let a crisis--or scandal--go to waste. Epstein should be hung around the neck of every Dim who was associated with him, but the GOP is too cowardly, and the MSM isn't interested, unless you can connect him with Trump.

Who the hell advises this President especially in hiring people in the administration!? There is a huge difference between the corporate world and government world even if they are closely aligned by many factors.

From Rush Limbaugh, yesterday:

Quote:

RUSH: So here’s the montage we put together. Drive-By Media. We’ve got NBC, we got ABC. We got the New York Times. We got CNN. We have NBC. We have NBC. We have PBS. We have MSNBC. Listen to all of these people talking about this.

LESTER HOLT: Tonight, the sex trafficking case against Jeffrey Epstein and its ties to the Trump administration.

HALLIE JACKSON: The relationship between President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.

BILL RITTER: Epstein. He’s rich and was once well connected to people like Donald Trump.

CHRIS STIREWALT: Donald Trump was friends with Jeffrey Epstein.

MICHELLE GOLDBERG: He was very close to Donald Trump.

CHRISTINE ROMANS: Trump and Epstein.

DAVE BRIGGS: Epstein and Trump.

PHIL DRUCKER: Trump and Epstein.

NICOLLE WALLACE: Epstein and Trump.

CHRIS HAYES: Trump and Epstein.

CHARLIE SYKES: Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.

ANNIE KARNI: Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.

JOYCE VANCE: It is so hard to avoid the comparison between Epstein and Trump.

RUSH: No, it’s not. It’s very easy to avoid it. There was hardly any relationship. Trump threw him out of Mar-a-Lago once because he was soliciting young girls there, hitting on them. Threw him out of Mar-a-Lago. This is the kind of thing that if you let it, it can infuriate you. This is such a pack of lies. This is so obviously a political hit piece.

Just watched Trump’s impromptu press conference before heading to Wisconsin. He brought Acosta with him and praised him to the sky. Trump is a class act. It appeared that he was really unhappy that Acosta was leaving. I wonder if he tried to talk him out of it. Trump is a fighter. His support of Kavanaugh demonstrated that.

"Time to put a Trumper and not a bushie there."

Exactly the problem!

I would have only expected a Bushie to go easy on Bill Clinton's best bud Jeffrey Epstein...

After all didn't Bush Sr & Barbara say Bill was "like a son" to them - while George Jr called him "brother"

Further from Rush, yesterday:

RUSH: Getting Acosta is a way of getting Trump.

The media is totally focused on having — when I say media, by the way, it’s the Democrats. The Democrats, slash, Drive-Bys are totally focused on getting Trump. And if they can force the labor secretary to resign in disgrace and in humiliation, then they’ve got a story. “Trump’s labor secretary, slap on the wrist to Jeffrey Epstein, resigns,” so forth. That’s all this is. That’s all this opportunity represents.

And I’ll make you a prediction. However this ends up and if it ends up that Acosta doesn’t resign, and if it ends up that they can’t get Trump on this, they’ll drop the Epstein thing. They’ll let whatever the SDNY does, they’ll let it happen in invisibility. We will not know how this case is progressing.

Now, I’ve run that theory by some people, and they’re telling me, “Rush, you’re wrong this time. Epstein’s not gonna get away with this. This is really, really bad for Epstein, Rush, and the reason is all of these young girls that were ignored and not listened to 13 years ago are now adults, and they and their parents are loaded for bear, and they’re bringing civil cases against Epstein, and this is not gonna go away this time. Epstein is in a serious circumstance, and they can’t let him go with a slap on the wrist.”

Okay. I hope you’re right, those of you who subscribe to that theory, but I’m just predicting: This is not gonna get Trump. This is not gonna get Trump out of the White House. It’s not gonna interrupt his campaign. Even if Acosta resigns, this is not going to get Trump. And whenever that is realized, like Rapinoe, yesterday Megan Rapinoe was gonna get Trump. Don’t deny it. That’s why she was being lauded. That’s why she was being feted. That’s why she was being celebrated. Megan Rapinoe was not gonna go to the White House. She wasn’t gonna go deign to go talk to that reprobate, that scum, ogre, Trump.

Okay. So she’s a one-day flash in the pan, gone with the ESPYs last night. So now they’ve gotta move on. Now they’re back to Acosta. Whenever this ends up with Trump not being damaged, they’re gonna move on to something else, and you will not hear Epstein’s name again. I don’t know what it will be. Next one’s gonna be Mueller coming back next Wednesday. CNN is already effectively doing a countdown. It’s six days away, and CNN’s already talking about the special anchors they’re gonna have coming in with wall-to-wall coverage.

Meanwhile, Mueller and his crew are trying to chicken out of this thing and not show up at all because Mueller doesn’t want any more of this. So whatever and whoever the latest weapon the Democrats glom onto think that this is gonna be the thing that gets rid of Trump, when that blows up in their face like it does to Wile E. Coyote, something else is gonna have to pop up and replace it.

And it will be something. Who knows what it is, but it will be something and we’ll be sitting here dealing with that. People gonna be saying, “What happened to Epstein?”

“Well, that didn’t pan out. Trump’s still in the White House.” ‘Cause they don’t care about Epstein.

Good riddance. Who is helping Trump find and pick these people? That person needs to be fired.

Pat, see my post #46. I am sure there will be a video of Trump’s impromptu presser today on CTH. It is classic Trump and seeing Acosta standing next to him left no doubt where Trump stands.

With Comey’s daughter prosecuting the Epstein case, I seriously doubt any Democrats will get outed, charged, or convicted. No, she’ll focus on Trump since he fired her daddy.

BS. Acosta did nothing wrong. Trump’s unqualified support of Acosta today including bringing him to the impromptu press conference on the WH lawn and praising his performance was unprecedented.

There has been no official confirmation that Comey’s daughter is on the prosecution team for the Epstein case. More fake news.

Just another Scalp for the Commies to hang on the wall. I think this happened too soon for the Rats though. Now they have to find another deflection to take the focus off Epstein’s Democrat Frequent Flier buddies.

BTW - Why isn’t Epstein ever described as a major Democrat Donor? Just askin’...

The fake news is that Comey’s daughter is on the Epstein prosecution team. There has been no official confirmation that is the case.

It is curious why this new case is being brought up now and what is the real objective. Is it just another indirect attack on Trump or a way to remove the Clintons once and for all from control and influence within the Dem party. What luminaries will be implicated?

Bingo. Billy Jeff coming out with his Clintonian response is to head of something. We shall see what that is as the case unfolds. Also, I wonder if the Epstein was used to bait pols into anything that involves the sexual harassment slush fund. That secret pool that we will never learn about...
