This is bullshit, gender identity is a social construct. Trans women, Trans men, non-binaries can use tampons AND get abortions so it is NOT gender specific so the 14th amendment does not apply.

Insane sure. But why not just exempt the tax? They exempt tons of products from sales tax. I think complaining is more effective perhaps?
