LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - The FBI is investigating a secret society of tattooed deputies in East Los Angeles as well as similar gang-like groups elsewhere within the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, it was reported Thursday.

News of the probe comes from multiple people familiar with the inquiry, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The federal probe follows allegations of beatings and harassment by members of the Banditos, a group of deputies assigned to the Sheriff's East L.A. station who brand themselves with matching tattoos of a skeleton outfitted in a sombrero, bandolier and pistol. The clique's members are accused by other deputies of using gang-like tactics to recruit young Latino deputies into their fold and retaliating against those who rebuff them.

The agents also have inquired about other groups known to exist in the department, which has roughly 10,000 deputies and polices large swaths of the sprawling county. They have asked for information about the tattoos and practices of the Spartans and Regulators in the department' Century Station, and the Reapers, who operate out of a station in South Los Angeles, according to the sources.

All they’re doing is importing Mexican values to US institutions.

All efforts to clean up this mess should be instituted immediately if not sooner.

Just what is needed in California. Now we’ll have not only MS-13 operating in our government, but within our law enforcement.

Why is the FBI involved? Is there government wrongdoing that needs to be covered up? Is a leftist official in danger of being exposed? Does anyone being investigated have information that can be spun so its harmful for the President? I just did not see justification for FBI involvement but I’m sure I missed something.

IIRC the FBI nearly always gets involved with local police corruption cases, especially if there's any kind of conspiracy across multiple actors.

The gangs within the LASD go back decades. The first one was the Little Devils, formed back in 1971. The most notorious is/was the Lynwood Vikings, who have been accused of being a white supremacist neo-nazi organization. Members get a tattoo with the code number for “Officer Involved Shooting.” A few years back there was actually a shootout between two sheriff’s department gangs in a parking lot in El Monte or someplace like that. The leadership of the department is afraid of the backlash from the deputies if they try to eliminate the gangs (or “cliques” as they usually call them).

All of these criminal organizations want to send a shout out of thanks to all the supporters of the "War on Drugs", for making their criminal enterprises possible.

Bubba Ho-tep is right: L.A.’s sheriffs and police (the latter especially) have had a gang presence for decades. As soon as Affirmative Action became the law of the land, black and hispanic gang members and their allies quietly infiltrated most urban law enforcement departments. The nifty tattoos may be a new twist . . .

Ever notice some of the cops on PD Live, many are loaded with tatts and many appear to be doing PED’s.

The original gangs in the LASD were all-white, formed among deputies patrolling minority areas.

Leftists infiltrate and subvert. Rightists separate and avoid.

That is why freedom of association must be destroyed.
