BESIDES BEING BILLIONAIRES and spending much of their fortunes to promote pet causes, the leftist financier George Soros and the right-wing Koch brothers have little in common. They could be seen as polar opposites. Soros is an old-fashioned New Deal liberal. The Koch brothers are fire-breathing right-wingers who dream of cutting taxes and dismantling government. Now they have found something to agree on: the United States must end its forever war and adopt an entirely new foreign policy.
In one of the most remarkable partnerships in modern American political history, Soros and Charles Koch, the more active of the two brothers, are joining to finance a new foreign-policy think tank in Washington. It will promote an approach to the world based on diplomacy and restraint rather than threats, sanctions, and bombing. This is a radical notion in Washington, where every major think tank promotes some variant of neocon militarism or liberal interventionism. Soros and Koch are uniting to revive the fading vision of a peaceable United States. The street cred they bring from both ends of the political spectrum along with the money they are providing will make this new think tank an off-pitch voice for statesmanship amid a Washington chorus that promotes brinksmanship.
This is big, said Trita Parsi, former president of the National Iranian American Council and a co-founder of the new think tank. It shows how important ending endless war is if theyre willing to put aside their differences and get together on this project. We are going to challenge the basis of American foreign policy in a way that has not been done in at least the last quarter-century.

The myth of the Kochs being right wing has been debunked over and over. Not a dime’s worth of difference between them and Soros.
So how about supporting President Trump then?
Looks like they know the jig is up; and are trying to pivot before the President can undermine them...
In before the “It’s a Trap!” guy...
Lock ‘em both up.
The myth of the Kochs being right wing has been debunked over and over. Not a dimes worth of difference between them and Soros.
The Kochs are, just as Soros and the Chamber of Commerce are, globalists with little regard for what they consider the American Peasantry.
Huh. Funny they weren't against "endless war" [sic] back when Obama was POTUS, or when Clinton was intervening in the Balkans. Or all the way back to Mesolithic times, when archaeology has shown that attackers were burning down whole towns, y'know, back when they were boys.
“Soros is an old-fashioned New Deal liberal”
No, that’s a lie. And a deliberate one. The FDR Democrats would reject both Soros and his Antifa/SJW mobs. And they’d reject intersectionality and privilege theory. Soros strongly supports all of those.
No they wouldn’t. After all, the FDR Democrats are responsible for the United Nations, whose charter was patterned after the 1936 USSR constitution and which set the stage for the emergence of people such as Soros and even Koch.
I’m not astonished.
Anyone who is astonished has not been paying attention to what’s going on around them.
Promote Pet Causes. Soros wants to destroy Western Civilization. The basic concept of destroy and rebuild is to create a socialist government utopia. In other words a totalitarian dictatorship to rule all of planet Earth.
Uniparty ... I’m just praying President Trunp isn’t playing us.
Birds of a feather flock together. Both Globalist one worlders.
They want to take the credit for Trump’s America First policy and they want to try and poison the concept with globalism instead of Nationalism.
This just means they can keep their globalist powers better by joining hands and enslaving the worlds population harder. The friend of your enemy aint your friend.
The Cato Institute is a Charles Koch hobby horse. If it had been up to the guy we’d have had to raise a posse to respond to 9/11. He does love open borders, though.
