DUBLIN, June 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — Female pilots in Ireland are being told by their employers to “terminate” their pregnancies or their employment.
According to Capt. Evan Cullen, who leads the Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association, approximately half of all pilots serving airlines registered in Ireland are self-employed contractors, thus making them reluctant to complain about work conditions. Some of the female pilots, Cullen said, have been told they should not become pregnant.
Female pilots, he said, are being told “you have a choice, you terminate your employment or you terminate your pregnancy. You can’t have both. So that is absolutely what goes on.”

The other day I got jumped on because I suggested that Trump give Kelley Ann an ultimatum that she should get a divorce or your fired. Some folks said that’s illegal. It was ONLY a suggestion. That was nothing compared to this horrid decision.

I’ve heard of this requirement before. The explanation was that the company didn’t want to get sued for any birth defects that could be claimed to be caused by the increased radiation exposure in frequent high altitude flights.
It sounds a little hoaky since I haven’t heard anything about these effects on adults, but I don’t know enough about it to form an opinion.
I do not believe one damn word in that article. Today we have a shortage of qualified pilots. It would be financial insanity for an airline to fire a female pilot because she would be off line for a few months due to child birth.

I just looked up the results of a study on Icelandic Air pilots. They had about 10% fewer total cancers than expected, but much higher rates for cancers of the skin. Good lifestyle vs skin exposure, I guess.
Shortage of pilots? If women were not allowed in military jobs other then ADMIN and nursing. We’d have no problems
What kind of military would want a woman, or anyone else, who will not lay down their lives for another. Let alone, their innocent baby.

Since you’re subjected to either annual or bi-annual medical exams to maintain your professional pilot’s license, how does pregnancy fit into the equation?
Don’t know. There are several lady pilots who have kids and one that I know of who’s pregnant.

As always with the left what starts out as a choice becomes an obligation (see China’s one child policy). Its why I have will have nothing to do with Euthanasia.
They’ve been shedding it for decades; they only started allowing divorce in the 1990s, and now they have abortion and “gay marriage”.
