Judicial Watch announced today it received 345 pages of records from the Department of Justice that show FBI top officials scrambling to write a letter to Congress to supplement then-Director James Comey’s Senate testimony in an apparent attempt to muddle his message.
Judicial Watch obtained the records through a January 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the DOJ failed respond to a December 4, 2017 FOIA request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00154)). Judicial Watch is seeking all communications between FBI official Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page.
The emails were released in response to a May 21 court order by U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton to the FBI to process 13,000 pages of records.
In an email thread starting at 6:34 a.m. on May 9, 2017, with the subject line “Comey’s Testimony on Huma Abedin Forwarding Emails Was Inaccurate – ProPublica” nearly a dozen top FBI officials scrambled to draft a letter to Congress about Comey’s May 3 Senate testimony.
This email thread was concerned with a May 8, 2017, ProPublica report stating that, “Comey’s most surprising revelation was that Huma Abedin — [Anthony] Weiner’s wife and a top Clinton deputy — had made ’a regular practice’ of forwarding ‘hundreds and thousands’ of Clinton messages to her husband, ‘some of which contain classified information.’ Comey testified that Abedin had done this so that the disgraced former congressman could print them out for her boss.… FBI officials have privately acknowledged that Comey misstated what Abedin did and what the FBI investigators found.”
After a flurry of emails, by 8:56 a.m. Comey’s chief of staff, Jim Rybicki, sent the group a draft letter for Congress, saying, “Below is a draft that has been reviewed by the Director. Please let me know..

Okay, I keep seeing these ‘new emails’ posts every few days, why? Are these being rationed out by Judicial Watch? By the government? I thought all were released long ago.
It amazes me that they can obtain hundreds of pages of documents and nobody else can?
Judicial watch has a mission. They keep on going when others quit. They have attorneys who can cause serious problems for AFGE types.

More likely “It appears that one of Abedin’s clients, the Clinton-connected Teneo Strategies founded by Doug Band-—said to be the toll booth to pay up to get access to the Clintons. Doug Band is the one that facilitated the Clintons’ big buck speaking engagements as part of the access deals.

Sen Grassley conjectured that Huma was being compensated for gathering information for Doug Band's outfit, Teneo, from US government sources for the purpose of informing investment decisions of her consulting clients - or in other words, political intelligence.
GRASSLEY: “This raises important questions about whether Abedin’s dual job role was adequately disclosed to US government officials who may have provided her information without realizing that she was being paid by private investors to gather information.”
AND THIS: As a (a) US govt employee (b) consulting for Teneo, Huma also had her own money-maker-—(c) Zaine Endeavors named after her son——which has never been fully investigated.
Whatever happened to all of the emails they found on Weiner’s laptop???
Even the DOJ who is the head of the FBI can’t find their own documents.

JW deserves donations. I think the next time I think about giving to a political candidate I will donate to them instead.
It is very likely that Judicial Watch has become a chosen instrument of disclosure by elements in government who wish to get this information disclosed and do so in a way that highlights the cover ups, official corruption and obstruction of justice that has occurred.
JW is also a major piss off to the old timer Clinton inner circle who had to deal with them during President Clinton’s impeachment and other scandals. They hate JW and are very frightened by them. Especially because President Trump is not a George Bush “New Tone In Washington” who is willing to cover up Clinton crimes and misconduct “ for the good of the country” and “ out of respect for the Office of The President of the United p States” ( while daddy Bush was cutting a fat hog in Haiti with Bill Clinton, BTW)

Agree. The letter was basically that “Judicial Watch Files Fed
lawsuits Investigating U.S. Gov Funding of Four George Soros OPS.” They were FOIA. JW says over 200 Soros left wing groups are funded with our tax dollars.
The Deep Staters stonewalled and drip fed the FOIA orders for over a year and last may a judge, perhaps a POTUS45 judge, made an order to comply or be in contempt. It wouldn’t be a good look for the FBI to be in contempt at the same time that public opinion holds them in contempt as well.
INHO the real reason was so Chinese intelligence could access the emails.
We have people who think Trump is giving away secrets to Putin, but can’t figure out what happens when Huma routs State Department email through a laptop at home belonging to her criminal husband who is sexting with 16 year olds.
They're making medical history......turning braindeadness on and off, at will.
This has required multiple FOIA requests as each would have to be very specific as to the docs sought.
And, the government slow walked as much as they could; hence, JW having to get court orders.
Think of JW as our pre Barr de facto DOJ.
