Why fix spina bifida for a clump of cells? /sar
Did this tragedy occur while they were attempting an abortion? [/lib mode]
It’s proof that God continues to aid men and women of the medical field to provide care to children before they are born, enabling them to live fuller and longer lives.
Abortion is murder...

If it ain’t a baby, you ain’t pregnant...
My son was born with spina bifada. Nice to hear of this type of progress.
BTTT.................
Is there treatment for this condition post birth?
Thanks for posting. Your family and those like yours inspire us all.. and probably inspired this surgical team.
Now it can be aborted.
Other than closure, I really don't know the answer to that.
When our son was born, the Drs. were quite clear in apprising us that, in addition to existing neurological damage, closure carried with it significant risk of slicing neuro pathways that were invisible even with the microscope they were using during the surgery. Our son was 7 hours old at the time of the surgery.
Subsequent to the surgery he suffered cardiac arrest. Was read his last rites. Severe clinically diagnosed mental retardation resulted, but he survived.
A year and a half later he went into grand mal seize for five hours. Again, read his last rites. Again, he survived.
He is now 45 and in a group home, though we had him with us for 41 years.
Terrific news. Great surgeons.
Thank you for your kind words.
The operation on the fetus”
On the fetus?? How about “the operation on the unviable tissue mass”. It would be no more ridiculous.
I’m so sorry. Your faith has been sorely tested.
But, it’s not a human.
Thank you for posting this story of a miracle.
This story-and others like it-bolster my deep devotion to being Pro-Life.
Praise God
It sounds like medical science are learning away around it. Hope so.
All kids can be challenging. Your baby is more challenging than most. Prayers.
