Skip the chemicals, go straight to Ginsu............
why stop there? Why not have mandatory drug treatments for every crime? I’m not exactly more comfortable with a murderer of his meds.
I support physical castration upon conviction or perhaps after losing the first appeal of a conviction.
As Shakespeare wrote: Wine giveth the desire but taketh away the ability.
I’ve believed for decades that this is the way to handle convicted child molesters and serial rapists. It’s cheap and, I believe, will be highly effective regarding repeat offenders.
Disagree with this. If the only way they can be released is doing this, then keep them in prison.
If they are a zero risk, the government shouldn’t mutilate people. If they cannot be released without that mutilation, they should remain behind bars.
If that means life, it means life.
Chemical castration, isnt that temporary? Also, cant a violent person still attack and do stuff without testosterone? I thought it was still possible. The castrati could still have sex.
:”It says offenders must pay for the treatment, and they cant be denied parole solely based on an inability to pay.”
WTF, so if they can’t pay for the treatment, they’ll be released anyway, or do the citizens of Alabama have to pay for it so they can be released?
they cant be denied parole solely based on an inability to pay
Chemical castration may reduce sex drives, but they can also raise the level of stimulus required for satisfaction. The lowered sex drive does not stop the subject from performing other antisocial behaviors, does not stop the subject from seeking other outlets.
There’s a better way of castration for those who deserve it, involving a baseball bat, a boxcutter and a blowtorch.
I’d like to see a law that would require that any woman on welfare who has a baby gets her tubes tied and that the baby be put up for adoption.
At one time, in the great state of Kansas, capital punishment for rape was castration.
I don’t think it was temporary.
It probably shouldn’t be temporary.
Drugs are bad. Lop ‘em off!
How do they determine the chemicly castrated offender stays on his prescription? Pee test? See if he cries watching Hallmark Christmas movies?
Let the child’s father saw the offending member off with a rusty saw at noon on the town square.
Both Joe Biden and Bill Clinton plan to protest this new law by refusing to set foot in the state until it is repealed.
Chemical castration is generally considered reversible when treatment is discontinued. They are not going to be on parole forever.
This allows offenders to get out of prison early, palm their meds and keep right on offending, being more careful not to get caught.
The deviancy is in their heads, get a clue.
Rape is a crime of violence not sex. Sex offenders are violent people, sociopaths that dont care about the feelings of others.
Hows this treatment going to stop that?
You cant change urges, only behavior by making punishment a reality in their everyday choices and boundaries.
Does this include adult female teachers who have sex with underage students?
