I’ve believed for decades that this is the way to handle convicted child molesters and serial rapists. It’s cheap and, I believe, will be highly effective regarding repeat offenders.

If they’re going to eventually get out of prison and back into society, then chemical castration should be a part of their sentencing, I agree.

Physical / chemical castration used to be a more common solution before the ACLU lawyers jumped in. If the convicted agrees to the treatment, they could reduce their sentence by 6-12 months.

It’s unclear how they monitor or ensure the castration if the convicted moves out of state, or out of country.
