Hopefully a $33 million judgement will put Oberlin belly-up.

It appears the cost of affirmative action is 22 million in this case. Maybe the full 33 million. But this dumb AA hire has the shovel out. Someone might want to take it away. Only if millions of dollars are worth the illusion of AA and the views of the good college.

Her purpose is to communicate to the alums that they are about to be hit up for big bucks to bail out the idiots who run their leftist indoctrination center. That said, I wouldn’t be shocked to see appellate claims that the TDB punitive damages are unfair because the jurors were pissed over the statement. But that should fail since the statement actually is not very inflammatory, and basically says “We Dindunuffin”. She even butters up the jurors, thanking them for their hard work. Jacobson is overplaying this one

The writer does not understand the mentality here. Progressive ideologues, such as the Oberlin administration, believe with all their stoney little hearts that they are on the side of the angels, and nothing can prevail against them.

Whoever this dreadful “counsel” is, she is unable to process what is happening, due to profound denial. She sent that email because she really believes that shit, and does not believe she or Oberlin can possibly not be vindicated in the end.

Sort of like Hitler in his bunker calling for his nonexistent southern army divisions to counterattack.

“Lead counsel Donica Varner is likely a lifetime affirmative action recipient, so she may just not be a very good attorney, and possibly just not very smart.”

Just Googled her! She be another “Holder’s Person,” so your affirmative action comment is spot on!

Like I said in another related post, these evil leftists at the university system despise everything that is wonderful about the United States. As a Veteran, I experienced first-hand the absolute fraud, lies, contempt, and hatred from the faculty and staff at Florida State University. Their horrible mistreatment toward me went on for three years, until I finally had enough and filed a lawsuit against the vile bastards there. Hopefully more people will get sick and tired of these awful Stalinists, and sue their sorry asses into bankruptcy. Criminoles is their name, not the Seminoles!!!

Their insurance policy does not cover intentional acts either! They are going to pay themselves.

This is how the liberal mind operates. It’s a straw man. They’re not going to admit what they did even after the jury found in favor of the plaintiffs against them. So they’re going to set up a straw man and knock it down. They’ll keep repeating this lie over and over again. Even if you tell them the truth they will simply ignore you and repeat the lie. It’s a Pathological condition i think.

Additional info of Oberlin Vice President and Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo (the other named loser):

"She previously served as special assistant to the president for equity, inclusion, and diversity and Title IX coordinator... She has taught courses spanning the themes of gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity studies, social justice, and HIV/AIDS. In 2014, she was recognized with an Excellence in Teaching Award and later that year was appointed special assistant to the president for diversity, equity, and inclusion and Title IX coordinator, a position for which she oversees institutional policy to ensure all students’ needs are being met under Title IX guidelines."

`

I can't help a little heh-heh.

It's an all-Left college.

Best spin for the lawyer - s/he isn’t able to control his client.

Worst spin for the lawyer - s/he isn’t giving competent advice.

While the judge isn’t going to let the lawyer quit at this stage, the lawyer needs to tell his/her client to take a hike.
