Why should cops get a pass?
You shoot someone when you shouldn’t, your ass should go to jail. Don’t like getting second-guessed? Don’t take the job.
If you carry a firearm, particularly under the authority of the State, you have forfeited the right to screw-up.

Who forced his hiring and promotion? That person should be in jail to.
I remember reading about that, that some schmuck politician wanted to gain points by hiring this guy and moving him quickly into the ranks of armed and dangerous police officers.

Editor’s day off apparently.
I prefer shooting them after they’re dead, the sentence is lighter.

Life in prison was needed. He shot her in cold blood.I don't see this as "cold blood" at all. If anything it was "hot blood". He was overly excited and panicked because he was not police material in the first place.

I would like to think the inmate in prison will exact the proper punishment for this slime, but I don’t know any more.

Glad someone else noticed that. It confused me almost as much as “reporting a possible sexual assault”. Either it is or it isn’t.

You can’t over-die. You can’t over-dry.
Good thing he wasn’t a civilian. He would have gotten 45-to-life.

His partner in the police vehicle should have sued him. Didn't the bad cop shoot past his partner's head at the lady? Not only surprising his partner who was handling the conversation with the lady but probably causing potential deafness of the partner.
Anyway, should have gotten 25 years, it was an intentional murder.

Yes, ex-police officers usually do so well in a prison general population.

Noor, a mentally retarded Somali immigrant, was backed by area Somalis like he was some kind of hero for killing a white woman. He'd been on a cop for two years, and was fired from the Minneapolis Police Dept after he was charged, community outrage was so intense. The savage Somali shooting also led to changes in procedures about when police turn on their body-worn cameras neither Noor nor his partner had activated theirs.
More importantly , the killing led to the resignation of the citys police chief, Janeé Harteau, a lesbian diverity pick, stepped down in July 2017 at the request of the mayor.
No wonder it took so long for Damand's famil to get justice---lookit these pitiful dumbed-down diversity
morons-----the lesbian police chief and her successor----brown, of course.

It does beg the question why he shot the already dead corpse, doesn't it? Maybe they should have written "Minnesota cop gets 12 years in prison for shooting
dead LIVE innocent Australian yoga instructor who..."
Travesty of Justice. It should have been LIFE at a minimum.

The appeals haven’t started.

Bigtime schadenfreud: the stupid Minnesota Police Dept---with a diverity lesbian jerk at the helm---
hired Noor even though he had an IQ of 68----in the mentally retarded stage.
Would have made a good defense....except they would have had to admit to gross incompetence
for putting the mental defective Somali on the police force.
