OMG....a gun....millions in jewelry. What to do?
To tell you the truth, the cop should have gone when not in uniform. Common sense.
What if armed robbers came into the store to actually rob it?
Would the stupid clerk tell them they can’t because it’s against store policy to have a gun in the store?...............
Youve won this round.
Sorry....Larceny? BS. He was told to return...not in uniform.
The manager should be fired. Period. And a boycott should be started.
Next time they’ll chase away a black man over blackface.
The Piedmont was invaded a generation ago by the same as 1864 just unarmed and girls too
Kay admits that the situation was mishandled. Fair enough. A little re-education for the offending manager (probably a life-long progressive) is in order.
Or a Buddhist priest for wearing a sheet...............
Yes there is a UNC campus in Statesville. It’s located about 30 miles or so from Charlotte if I remember correctly.
Idiots just put up a neon sign in front of their store stating “please rob me”!
The company apologized over the dumb move by one of their employees, who possibly misunderstood their policies.

Way back when I was a ‘rootin tootin drinkin fool’ I frequented a Restaurant/Lounge/Bar that was starting to have a ‘problem’ with some bikers coming in- in their colors and ‘intimidating’ the patrons.
Management did have a successful restaurant going and a decent bar business so he passed an edict that ALL welcome but not in ‘uniform or colors’, with an appropriately well worded sign and instructions to the Hostesses & bar tenders.
I wasn’t that long out of the USN so still had some ‘close acquaintances’ in uniform so I invited a few to lunch one afternoon (when possible/feasible lunch used to be most of the afternoon) and the hostess blocked their entrance.
I figured she was just busting my chops so I told my pals to disregard her and come ahead.
Darned if she wasn’t instituting the NO UNIFORMS policy on the Military in the ‘middle’ of the Vietnam War. She didn’t ‘lose’ her job but was reassigned to busboy/girl duties for a bit.
Oh, ownership did realize that ‘green’ outweighed any colors a dude/dudette would wear so that policy was shortlived.
My favorite part of this is imagining what would happen if, later that day/week, that store was robbed and the the deputy showed up and refused to enter the store so that he wouldn’t violate their policy.
Here’s what would happen.
Robber(s): “This is a hold up!”
Manager: “But this is a gun free zone.”
Robber(s): “Yes. We know.”
Their phone is on auto reject.
I would NOT take the ring. I would return without my weapon and demand return of my money. If they did not instantly pay it back to me I would have a lawyer on them and, of course, never walk into a Kay’s again.
In this day and age a jewelry store with such a policy is advertising big time for masked men with guns drawn.
Sorry, but they have every right, as private property owner to NOT allow weapons on their premises.
As long as they are consistent in their enforcement of the policy, I have no issue with it.
I don’t think you are going to walk into any jewelry store with a visible gun without having issues honestly.
Uh. No. Make that, “NO!! “
Rabbit people need to accept that while they are rabbit people, armed police are part of why they get to live their rabbit lives.
Big Mistake....HUGE!
