Pearland police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a couple of fake DEA agents roaming the area. They were caught on camera trying to get inside a home on Ivory Creek Drive. The masked men were wearing black shirts with DEA lettering on the front and police lettering on the back. Both appeared to be armed with handguns, according to Pearland police. They pounded on the door of the home around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday and shouted, DEA! DEA! The woman inside warned them she was going to call the police so they ran off.

FRiends, please be aware.
Is that the best, safest way to survive, when someone claiming to be LEO knocks at your door. Will true LEO wait while you call 911 ?
Personally I am unwilling to lower my shotgun until I have confirmation that it IS law enforcement on the other side of the door.
Woman wakes up to pounding and shouting on her front door at 2am.
“Open up, this is the police.”
“I’m not opening the door!”
“I’ve got a gun!”
BOOM
12 ga mag load of 00. Seems she had a gun too.
Police/DA no billed it.
I'll keep an eye out for anyone with the words POLICE LETTERING on their shirts. Because that's how they are described in the news story. TV newsrooms need to spend less time on their political biases and return to basics like copywriting.
Roger that!
You can tell they were not real police because they didn’t kick down the door and shoot her dog.
You know they were fake because no one’s dog got killed.
Lucky for her they were just criminals. If they were really DEA she'd be dead.
it is a shame when fake police are recognized because they knock.
If they had been real DEA Agents they would have broke the door down and shot her several times. So yes she was very lucky.
