U.S. Attorney General William Barr dismissed left-wing complaints that hes President Trumps attorney. In an interview with the WSJ, he said Democrats have repeatedly moved the goal posts, making note of the 20 endless probes in the House. Its unjust.
I felt the rules were being changed to hurt Trump, and I thought it was damaging for the presidency over the long haul, Barr told the Wall Street Journal.
It hurts the Presidents ability to deal with very dangerous foreign enemies and domestic ones as well.
It is the presidency, not the president, that he is defending, Barr told The Wall Street Journal during a trip to El Salvador.
Barr says hes fighting for the presidency because the Democrats nonstop obstruction of a sitting president damages the office itself.
THE PRESIDENT IS NOT CONGRESSS ERRAND BOY
Barr emphasized that the executive branch needs to be strong and independent, and not subordinate to partisan legislators who want the president to fail.
At every grave juncture the presidency has done what it is supposed to do, which is to provide leadership and direction, he told the Journal. If you destroy the presidency and make it an errand boy for Congress, were going to be a much weaker and more divided nation.
The Constitution places no such limit on the Presidents supervisory authority, Barr argued.
Barr has also said spying did occur by the FBI on the Trump campaign in 2016. He launched a review to determine if that spying was properly predicated and whether government officials abused their power and put their thumb on the scale.
He put a serious US Attorney on it John Durham.

Great job slamming the concern trolls!
Echoes of Sargent Friday doing routine work: “Just the facts, Ma’am!”
Good response but what is he doing in el salvador? If it is not dealing with illegals what? If it is dealing with illegal invaders what? There is surely not anything secret about the illegal invasion.
Might just be temporary, but I do like Atty. Barr’s calm arrogance. It just burns them up!
If this was ever made into a movie, who would play Atty Barr?
One Answer: Actor John Goodman, provided that he could gain about 60 pounds and look as he used to.
It will be just like when Tony Snow said "tar baby."

Good.
Barr is reacting the right way, isn’t going to let them push him around.
Have you noticed how ad hominem attacks just bounce off this guy? Barr reminds me of my atty father, very straightforward, brilliant, factual. Dad once kicked our Commie cousin out of the family get together during Vietnam. Never forgot that rare act of aggression. Wasn’t sure what Barr’s political orientation is and still not sure! But he proves the point that there is such a thing as objectivity and law-Constitutional in particular.
Great pic.
I think Jackie Gleason could have played Barr perfectly back around 1980. He had a full range of expression from absurdity to total seriousness and everything between.
“Dad once kicked our Commie cousin out of the family get together during Vietnam.”
Bwah ha! That right there’s funny, I don’t care who ya are
“Might just be temporary, but I do like Atty. Barrs calm arrogance. It just burns them up!”
It isn’t temporary; I think that is who he is.
Be careful not to see arrogance when it is confidence.
The only thing missing is an upraised middle finger.
His expression says it all.
He's the real deal.
What and who are you ranting about?
Orson Wells
God! I love his expressions.
If only trump picked him day one. Oh how things would be different. Oh well at least hes here now.
” I think that is who he is.”
I do too now.
His calm arrogance is quite a bit different from Trump’s no way calm arrogance(!) but I think they both believe in FREEDOM and are trying to do the right things for all Americans and our future.
