Out of all the criticisms of Donald Trump, the one I've never understood is that he's somehow anti-gay. The Trump/Pence ticket was supposed to have put up conversion-therapy camps all across America by now, right? Yet somehow it hasn't happened. With all the legitimate reasons for a person to oppose Trump, they still keep making stuff up.
Pete Buttigieg has been capitalizing on this, depicting himself as some sort of victim. He wants you to think Trump is oppressing him. He just can't seem to get Trump to play along.
Check out this clip from an interview Trump just gave to Steve Hilton, which will air on Fox News this Sunday night. Hilton asks what Trump thinks of Buttigieg's marriage:

Now, that's not to say Trump is a big fan of Buttigieg. The other day he referred to Mayor Pete as "Alfred E. Neuman," which is kind of funny. And Buttigieg said he had to Google "Alfred E. Neuman" because he's not old like Trump, which is also kind of funny. But Trump is teasing him for looking like a dork, not for being gay. Trump insults everybody who's a threat to him. It's nothing new, and there's no reason to expect Buttigieg to be exempt.
Besides, isn't Alfred E. Neuman a sort of trickster god, always humiliating people who are too full of themselves? I wouldn't want to mess with Neuman. Take the compliment, Pete.

Honestly, don’t like this guy on Policy, and certainly don’t agree with his lifestyle choices, or his attempt to argue that they are sanctified by God...
But, I seriously think he’s way more of a threat than Biden or Bernie... Certainly smarter than either of them.

I had a subscription to it. It was goofy.
I remember, some issues would come with a little 45 record. There was a song, “She’s Got a Nose Job.”
I think the words were:

Sorry but it is not great. The fact that this deviant homosexual is being taken seriously as a Presidential candidate underscores the extent that decadence and hedonism have permeated America. Note how this deviant celebrates all abortion and even infanticide. Homosexuals are adverse to procreation, everything associated with it, including the baby. Such people are pathological and are not suitable for any public office. They find common ground with feminism which at its core is an antifertility cult. The Democrats are led by these evil homosexuals and feminists. The Democratic Party is an existential threat to the American nation.

That’s not the issue. If it were simply live and let live, there would have been no problem.
The issue is an has always been this -— ARE THOSE WHO DUE TO THEIR DEEPLY HELD RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, NOT WANT TO RECOGNIZE OR CELEBRATE THIS “MARRIAGE” ( NOTE THE QUOTES ) GOING TO BE FORCED BY GOVERNMENT TO ACCEPT THIS UNION UNDER THREAT OF PUNISHMENT?
Unfortunately, the answer is YES. See what is happening to Bakers in Colorado, Flower Shop owners, Christian Lodge Owners, Christian Photographers, etc.
So, it’s not simply a matter of “tolerance”, it is a matter of government coercion ( AKA intolerance on the side of the homosexuals ).
I found some of my 1960’s era issues of Mad Magazine while we were packing to move.
